It tempts me to give a thumb down but it's simply not possible. Either you're familiar with the franchise, or only considering trying - this is the best Total War. This is an athmosferic masterpiece, and despite ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLC policy I hihgly recommend this to everyone.

Milking, milking, milking. Chaos as a DLC? LOL

Sorry CA or/and SEGA, no thumbs up for you here. Yo make decent games, but since Shogun 2 your DLC policy of selling cut content makes me really upset. And the situation with splitting this game in two, and selling parts separatly, both with units and factions DLCs... No way. I've been playing your games since the very first Shogun and i take it really personally, how you see me not as a client and gamer, but as a cow you are milking for money.

Fix your game.

A very good concept spoiled with a terrible realisation.

The idea of a guerrilla war after losing in the first part is great.
Moving main base, covert operation, ambushes, stealing technologies, building the resistance... It all sounds very nice. In theory.

What you get in reality is a somewhat interesting, but quite an obvious storyline with pretty dull characters (miss Dr. Vahlen so much).

You get new classes, with Ranger and the tech specialist seeming most interesting. The battle is very much decided by whether your ranger can perform a melee kill and stay alive after that, and whether your hacker can get rid of turrets and mechanized enemies.

You get a new global map, where you'll be leaping like an energized toad, trying to get resources and do all the missions.

And you get TIMERS. Timers in literally every mission. You want some careful planning, you want tactics, you want maneuvers and smart moves - forget it. Your best tactics is a frontal rush to beat the bloody timer. To add insult to offence you get a GLOBAL TIMER. Yeah, the Avatar project.

Also you get an unmatched feel of frustration, when your skilled soldier miss an enemy standing right on the neighbouring tile with a 99% chance to hit. An Alien God's miracle, trust me.

And of course you get lags and glitches on a PC, which runs Total Warhammer and The Wither 3 with Ultra quality.

The first game was a nice adaptation of an old X-Com from 1993 to meet the modern standards. The second is even worse in terms of a sequel than Terror from the Deep was. Then they also wanted to get some easy money from the success the first game had, but at least they introduced some new ideas and didn't break what was working.

Shame 2K. Real shame.

Why am I forced to play in Russian? I'm not even from Russia.

You know why EA is the worst US game-developing company? Because Ubisoft is from France!

I'm not a fan of the genre any more, but from what I've seen - it's a great game.

After Men of War and Company of Heroes play this? No way. It's an arcade, and badly done.

Ok, the game itself is good, probably the best space 4X since old Master of Orion 2. But what has happenned, after the DLC it became so laggy? Besides, did i just see an increase in price right before the sale? Wow, like if it wasn't enough that Paradox is milking it's customers with DLC. Paradox, that's most probably the last time i've bought smth from you.

UPD. Seems like i found the reason of the lag - Paradox account ffs! Maybe i'm wrong, but when i play logged into it the game is laggy.
