I'm enjoying this game even though I am typically not a "Match 3" player. Each level has a different combination and number of "rooms" or maps. The match 3 pieces vary and there are "special" pieces that give the game variety. The requirements to finish the levels "perfectly" also vary. The game is fun and relaxing but also somewhat challenging. I would recommend this game.

If you need any clarification of how the game, levels or pieces work, there is an IN DEPTH Strategy Guide which you will find in the "Collector's Edition Extras."

The developer is very active and "hands on" and if you have any questions or concerns, he closely monitors the Discussions.

This is the 3rd Chapter of this game and it doesn't disappoint! Your character has to follow a series of clues and diverse locations and atmospheres to unravel a mystery, first about himself, but also about the circumstances and events that took place at the areas he visits.

Each chapter gets more and more interesting and intriguing. Very eerie and sometimes spooky atmospheres throughout. Point and click puzzles are challenging, yet solvable without undo backtracking. Do get a pen and paper ready, though, as you will want to map out where different puzzles are located. You don't have to write down everything, though--there's a convenient camera for you to take pictures to refer to at a later time to solve some of the puzzles.

Anxiously await the developer's next game!

I highly recommend this game.

Great game!

Mostly figuring out different mechanics for opening, repairing or initiating an action of an object. Very clever, great graphics, all very intuitive. Loved the "story" behind it as well.

As others have pointed out, some would say a bit on the easy side but it's nice to be able to play a game without resorting to a guide or walk through. You still get a lot of "a ha" moments. I had a solid four hours into it and don't regret paying full price.

Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to the next Episode. Will definitely be buying it.

This is NOT a city builder/sim/resource management game. It IS a STRATEGY game.

For those of you who have played Carcassonne, it is very similar but it is play alone and, from what I have read, they do not plan to make it multiplayer. Which is fine by me; it doesn't need to be. Caveat here that it would be a good game for two or more people to sit down together to plan a strategy.

For those of you who have not played Carcassonne, it is a tile game with different landscape elements: Forests, villages (houses), grasslands, rock fields, railroad lines and water/river/oceans. (More biomes are promised.)

The basic premise is laying down the tiles in such a way as to build on those areas. But that's not all . . . each play through (session) has different "quests" and/or rewards so you are doing something different and changing your strategy each time you play. Example of a quest may be that you must match tiles with a certain number of houses exactly, or sometimes at least that number and sometimes you must close off an area of houses so the area cannot be made bigger.

Very addictive game. Devs are hands on and listening to the players. I've played for 10 hours at this writing and I'm not bored yet.

Highly recommend this game.

Maybe this game was just too hard for me but it was not intuitive for me at all. There was no real tutorial and it was not clear to me at all what had to be done to manipulate the objects in the game. The controls are very clunky and I often found myself inside of an object or outside the area of the game play.

There are video walk throughs but I don't want to have to consult one for almost every puzzle that was presented.

I like the concept of the game but I think it needs a lot more polish and adjustment to the mechanics. Last but not least, a more detailed or informative tutorial.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all four of "The Room" games but this fourth one is by far the best of the best!

To me, this "chapter" was the most cohesive one to date. The "puzzles" were challenging and yet very doable. Each step logically led you to the next step as you traverse your way through each room. The rooms were ever so interesting, diverse and captivating.

The graphics and mechanics are top notch and I did not encounter any technical difficulties whatsoever. The very short cut scenes to show the movement of the rooms or their contents were fascinating, beautiful and mesmerizing. A more finished and polished game you will not find.

I can only hope for #5! HIGHLY recommend this game!

This was an enjoyable little HOG.

More of an "old school" game compared to the HOG's of today--no fantastical characters or story plots. There is a story line but mostly it's just one HO scene after another. You get a 1, 2 or 3 star rating for each scene based on correctness and time (though you can take all the time you need). I would say fairly difficult to get 3 stars on the first go-round but you can continue to retry until you get it. Each re-try usually has different objects to find in the same scene.

The only cons are that the "rules" by which you are rated and the achievement boxes are a bit ambiguous and I really wish the game had been longer.

But I can definitely see me replaying this game in a few months as a relaxing time passer.

I very rarely write a review for an HOG. It's not my Genre of choice but I do like to play them in between more challenging and/or interesting games. However, I felt compelled to write this one because this game was so boring and annoying I couldn't wait for it to be over.

The "Cons" in my opinion:

The game had too much dialogue and too many "video clips". I like to play the game, not watch it.

There were several characters and several different versions of possible scenarios for which you needed to "solve the murder." I don't enjoy that kind of "busyness" in an HOG.

In addition, SEVERAL of the items needed to interact with another item were so far fetched it was beyond illogical (repair a machine belt with a desk stapler?). I know a lot of HOG's stretch the imagination but this was a game where I would sometimes try every item in my inventory only to find that the least likely one did the trick.

Cannot think of a single "Pro" considering the Genre.

I normally will replay an HOG to go back and tidy up any achievements I didn't manage to get in the first go-through but I just can't put myself through any more torture.

Sorry, I can't recommend this game.

Your character in this story has to follow a series of clues and diverse locations and atmospheres to unravel a mystery, first about himself, but also about the circumstances and events that took place at the areas he visits.

I've played for about 9 hours combining the Prologue, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 (which I have not completed yet).

Haven't finished Chapter 2 yet but already can't wait to play Chapter 3. I can easily see me replaying this game after I'm done to more fully understand how all the pieces came together.

I highly recommend this game.
