First off, clarification on the time played: I have dumped MANY more hours than I would have liked playing this on a friend's PS5, and the game is pretty much the same there.

DO NOT PLAY THIS. It is a greedy, macrotransaction infested Gaijin Entertainment game. Pay to Win is the name of this game. You can pay 20-40 USD to bring an overpowered tank, or a bunch of guys with maxed stats and strong equipment. Didn't play the game for the last two years? You missed out on paratroopers, rocket planes, and a whole lot of other squads that are super useful. Keep in mind that they sell Premium Currency through their own website to dodge it showing up on Steam, and from the very start you're shown a Starter Kit that costs a clean 30 bucks. (Gold is 1-1, so 3000 gold is 30 dollars.) They have Premium squads that cost upwards of 40 USD. For a single squad.
(Don't believe it when Gaijin says this game isn't pay to win, you can also buy squad slots so when someone finally ends your reign of terror in your two premium tanks, you can field a third and start the whole cycle AGAIN!)

Gameplay wise, being a new player SUCKS. You go to war with a bolt action rifle vs people with submachine guns, mortars, and tanks. And occasionally a premium squad. You try to use your vehicle and get literally shot out of it because all the starter tank squads are open top and slow as heck. Starting balance is non-existent.

Also, the game is effectively dead, on both PC and console. The game automatically fills in empty player slots with AI to hide this fact. It was very common to see games where I or my friend were the only humans on our team. Speaking of the AI, they're effectively useless. They'll stand out in the open despite orders being behind cover, they'll wander off in stupid pathing, and they don't respond to hostile gunfire or enemy presence. The soldiers you aren't controlling WILL die, before you even get to the battle. They can't accomplish manual objectives, they can't operate their unique equipment (so an Anti-Tank soldier won't fire their rocket at tanks, medics can't heal you, etc), and half the time when you switch to them, their weapon will be at 10% ammo.

PS: Gaijin, if you do read this, please remove Tier 3. Nobody likes it. Either you're stomping Tier 2 and 1, which makes people NOT want to continue playing, or you're getting stomped by Tier 4 and 5. Neither ends in positive game experience.
Oh yeah, Tier 3 exists. Basically it's a tier where you can enter either a match of Tier 1/2 (bolt action rifles and paper tanks) or Tier 4/5 (Fully automatics, planes with AtG missiles, and rocketproof tanks). As stated above, either you stomp, or you get stomped, cause T3 is right in the middle of usefulness.

Terratech Worlds, like everyone is saying, could be good. The reactor system and abysmally low drop rate of resources and parts at default hamper the experience quite heavily. Also, the game doesn't behave well sometimes. (Techs freezing one session, and not taking damage, but then the next real life day losing my tech to frostbite) and in the same situation, using my reactor heat to stave off the cold, and then suddenly taking a flash freeze out of nowhere.
Also, the swamp biome sucks. Plain and simple.

Another thing I need to mention is the ammo system. Having your weapons all consume ammunition makes it incredibly impractical to have a tech with more than two Light Ammo consumers, and anything explosive is too expensive to run. Not to mention the impact every consumable resource has on your inventory space. Boosters should go back to having internal tanks, like the Original Terratech. Heaters should be passive, and not active. Or at the very least, boosters and heaters should count for the Infinite Ammo setting.

They took everything fun about Terratech, and went "hey, people liked base building, right? Let's focus on that." instead of...you know, the Techs.

First game against bots, vanilla game, four players. Spent 30+ turns trying to kill a single wizard from the Crown of Command.

It's Escape from Tarkov, but better in every way. If you can look past the server issues and some of the jank (those are actively being worked on) there's actually a lot here to enjoy. Ignore the Tarkov fans and their vitriol.

Helldivers 2 is a good game. Shoot bugs, shoot bots, even shoot your friends.

EDIT: Review edited due to Sony being bad, then backtracking. Never let them forget.

It's...not great. There's nothing really to draw players in besides rather generic mech combat, and no driving goal or any sort of reason to play. No player interaction at all means this just boils down to "launch into a Patrol, spend 10 minutes walking around a map occasionally shooting things, return to base to increase your health from 2000 hp to 2100hp after grinding for three hours"

I know this is "Early Access", but...YIKES. It feels so, so bad. I don't even know how to explain how poor this feels to play compared to the first game. They should have just stuck with Robocraft 1.

I'm still hoping we get a decent vehicle builder that isn't either abandonware on launch or Crossout levels of microtransactions.

No crossplay in 2023, absolutely unbelievable. Can't play with a friend on PS4.

To quote the Scout from Team Fortress 2:
"Where do I even start with you?"

Ignore the playtime, I've had Overwatch almost since it's original launch.

Overwatch 2 is a bad game run by an ATROCIOUS company. Every skin costs 15 dollars, they canceled and binned an entire PvE experience just to cut what was left up and sell it separately. They changed the entire format of the standard matches (used to be 6v6 [2 DPS, 2 Support, 2 Tank] and now it's 5v5 [2 DPS, 2 Support, 1 Tank]) and they didn't balance around the change. New heroes are released as part of the BATTLE PASS, so unless you buy the pass (or grind it all the way to the tier you unlock them at, which is high) you are literally unable to pick the new hero in a game where the new hero is always a "must pick" (except Lifeweaver, poor guy).

Also, Acti-Blizz is absolutely useless when it comes to balancing. So, that's fun. PLEASE STOP NERFING MERCY.

Floaty physics make tables a lot less fun to play than their Pinball FX2/FX3 counterparts. Some discounts on tables you previously owned on FX3 but not enough to justify paying for an objectively worse "remaster" since the physics are so wonky.

Some pretty cool table designs in PFX though, am a fan of the godzilla license and Crypt of the Necrodancer

...seriously, Zen, if you guys want to keep your audience, let us keep our damn tables, remaster or no. Nobody is going to buy Secrets of the Deep for a third time, even half off. Especially not with the physics in this game being so bad.

(PS: I played a lot more on the console version, and after playing the PC version I can see the physics are the same.)
