You might be able to use a webcam like a razer kyo for mic since it is USB. I have mic problems as well. Even typing here is fine, just need some communications to DnD effectively.

I'm aware. But like I said, my mic ports are screwed up. Even getting a brand new headphone and mic didn't fix the problem. It's something wrong with the PC itself. So using voice chat isn't possible for me. I can't get on the game right now, but I should definitely be available later.

Also, you should know that you can save in the middle of battle, if you want to. Tends to help in these lengthy fights, when you manage to take down a strong enemy and don't feel like doing it again.
