Better than its prequel!

Rage 2 is pretty much the ultra violent , gory romp nobody was expecting after its gritty and somewhat ambitious prequel Rage. So I took my time and blasted my way through is roughly 20 hours campaign.

Its a lot of fun! It takes all the awesome fast run and gun gameplay you would expect from games like Doom, Unreal Tournament and Borderlands and amps it up to a neon pinkish adrenaline rush.

Story in this is pretty much cookie cutter as you just play as Walker the Ranger ! Yeah thats right but not Chuck Norris, even thou you are basically the deadliest mercenary on the entire planet by the end of it.

Gunplay is very fast and addictive and the shotgun and the Assault Rifle in this are amazingly fun to play. There is a good dose of free roaming and car collecting as well as some racing to be done in this so it never gets quite dull.

Missions are for the most part fun especially the story related missions are a blast to play through.

Just dont expect any deeper story and kick back and enjoy the ride.

I know I did. 8.5 Nanonites out of 10.

Great Value for what you get. Being a longtime Castlevania fan with Symphony of the Night being one of my favorite games of all time, I had to get this collection since it went under my radar and popped on Steam out of the blue. Here is hope that SOTN and Rondo will also get a Steam PC release one day as they were recently bundled for this gens consoles. What you get in this collection is pretty much pixel perfect conversions of 8 classic Castlevania games from 4 different platforms it includes

Castlevania (1986) NES
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (1987) NES
Castlevania: The Adventure (1989) Game Boy
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (1989) NES
Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge (1991) Game Boy
Super Castlevania IV (1991) Super Nintendo
Kid Dracula (1993) Game Boy
Castlevania: Bloodlines (1994) Sega Genesis/Mega Drive

Its fantastic to see platform exclusive gems like Bloodlines, Super Castlevania and even Kid Dracula on PC. Yeah sure you can easily emulate these games nowadays but there is a certain charm to have an official release of these great games on the PC. Here is hope that Konami will add SOTN and Rondo as well. Would have been cool if they included Castlevania Legends which is a forgotten game and I believe the last Castlevania game for the Game Boy (Yeah the one where you play as Sonia, AlucarDs wife).

Overall a must own for every hardcore Castlevania fan, especially the more classic harder linear ones. Great value, cool nostalgia!

Pretty impressive for an adaptation of a somehow terrible movie. With that being said I didnt hate the Mummy movie this game is based on but I certainly didnt like it as much either, however I happen to be a huge fan of Castlevania and Super Metroid and this game was recommended to me so I gave it a try.

Well...

Its actually pretty damn decent and fun to play, Way Forward the developers of this one certainly know how to make a decent side scroller with an awesome synth wave soundtrack to boot.

The game is structured much like you expect from Super Metroid and Castlevania as you follow a non linear path, collecting upgrades and gear and blasting your way through hordes of mummies and other unearthly creatures.
The soundtrack in this game deserves special mentioning because its really awesome and in the veins of a lot of retro synth wave tunes. Pretty good Soundtrack!!!

Unfortunately its a rather easy and short experience and I honestly didnt even die once on my first try and managed to completely unlock every achievement in around 6-7 hours.

Could be that I am way too good for this type of games since I blasted through TimeSpinner and Castlevenia as well of Super Metroid several times but this game doesnt even have a hard mode after completing it.

Overall give it a try if you like Castlevania and Super Metroid and like a decent soundtrack, otherwise you will feel underwhelmed by this game.

Final Verdict 7 out of 10 eternal deaths because you dont play as Tom Cruise in this one xD

Dead Cells is what you get if you try to mix Castlevania with Dark Souls and Diablo and of course much more than that. Its very fast, its kinda grindy but its a hell of addictive and fun.

The concept of this game is that you take control of a parasite inside a prison island and try to make your path through the different zones of the prison complex called biomes. Those come in all sorts of different areas like sewers, castles, caves and so on.

The catch is you have to collect cells and if you manage to die you will start all over again loosing all your gear, fortunately the game lets you customize your character for high speed slaughter and mayhem or for tanky approaches, suit yourself.

Seriously give this one a try and you will get hooked after first beating the fourth boss. This game is very fun and very fast and it pays a lot of homage to the likes of Castlevania, Metroid and Dark Souls, there are even some references and easter eggs to those games.

Final verdict, 9 cells out of 10 you lost by an falling elevator xD

Once this game buries its fangs into your neck you will become something else...

I must say I had very low expectations for this one and being a huge Castlevania fan and since the last decent vampire game was Masquerade Bloodlines I went with a pretty low expectations into this one.

Needless to say I was wrong because oh boy does this game deliver :D I would even say its currently one of the best vampire games you can get out there since the likes of Masquerade Bloodlines. Story, atmosphere and graphics are all top notch. Be warned thou that the combat is pretty technical in the veins of Bloodborne and Dark Souls and it will get very difficult if you don't know how to manage your stamina meter similar to the mentioned games. I highly recommend using a gamepad like the Xbox One gamepad or the 360 wired gamepad for this game as its perfectly optimized and more streamlined with it.

Voiceacting and sound are also top notch and it works very well with the atmosphere, nothing seems out of place and the game is well polished. As mentioned earlier this game relies on gameplay RPG mechanics and it takes some getting used to it as you have to manage hub areas and try not to feed on civilians and must answer story related branching dialogues.

Overall pretty awesome premise and well rounded vampire RPG, well worth your time. 8 out of 10 Sewer Rats you can feed on xD

And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee.

There honestly isn't anything quite like this out there. One word AMAZING concept and game. This is the one single non horror game where I genuinely felt scared by diving too deep or remaining with no oxygen under a thick layer of ice or by just a silhouette swimming carelessly in the dark depths of the ocean. You will feel isolated yet immersed in a very high detailed underwater world full of beautiful sights and nightmarish depths to behold.
If you loved the original Subnautica then this is of course a must play. Even in its early access I can honestly say that this game will stick on you like a jellyfish. Do yourself a favour and experience this one for yourself but be warned not everything that you will meet in those depths that you explore will prove friendly...

Final verdict 9 out of 10 Leviathan encounters that don't end up deadly xD

So far the best game of 2019. Coming all the way back from the Sony Playstation era everyone should know about the Resident Evil series, especially the two originals RE1 from 1996 and its excellent sequel RE2 from 1998.
For years fans have asked for a remake in the similar veins as the one on the GameCube called REmake but we have been left in the cold until now.
So the Resident Evil 2 Remake is finally here across all platforms and let me tell you it is glorious. It runs on the excellent RE engine which powered RE7 before and has some excellent graphics properties on the PC running all the way up to 4K of course.
Graphics and sounddesign is excellent. The soundtrack on the other hand isnt as memorable as the original 1998 version was but as a bonus you can switch to the classic soundtrack via DLC if you suffer from nostalgia like myself.
All dialogue and characters have been updated to realistic standards and excellent facial animation conveys the story believable. Sure I still miss the the old campy feel like Ada leaving Leon behind "Ada wait" but overall its great to see the classic updated with such high fidelity.

Pro:
- Great visuals and facial animations and physics
- PC version is designed properly and offers a lot of graphics options
- Terrific 3D sound design, have to play this with headphones
- Enough content to keep you busy
- Mister X himself...

Contra:
- New soundtrack isnt on par with its original version but can be swapped via DLC
- Characters seem a little bit more flat than their corny originals (Ben was way more likeable in the classic)
- Leons and Claires B scenarios arent as diverse as the original campaigns which felt different, here they seem just a little bit harder from the main scenarios

Overall an excellent game with lots of content and definitely one you want to play even if you dislike the survival horror genre this is a must play. 9 kisses from Ada out of 10!

Better than expected!

tehere was very bad new surrounding this game after Hideo Kojima parted from Konami and MGSV all the way back, so I was thinking that this game would suck a lot like Umbrella Corps did but to my huge surpise this game turned out actually pretty fun and engaging. At its core this is basically a surival mode in a paralell universe with the gameplay mechanics of MGSV. If you liked the gameplay and graphgics of MGSV you will love this one. Sure its nonsensical and has a lot of weird story related things in it but for what it is its actually pretty well thought out. The only two downsides are the lower graphics than MGSV and you have to pay 10 bucks for addiction character slots which is always a bad move but aside from that tis is a solid game, no pun intended. 7 out of 10 Kuban crystals

Very competent sequel that improves the foundations of the first game but somehow looses some of its gritty gothic moments and memorable villains. So the sequel to one of the most underrated survival horror games and one of my favorites came out of nowhere, The Evil Within 2. Is it as good or even better than the first underrated gem from Resident Evil mastermind Shinji Mikami ? Well... yes and no...

The first game was very hard and low key which means it wasnt aimed much at casual gamers but more for the serious survival horror fans out there. Plagued with technical issues and brutal, unforgiving difficulty. I look at you chapter 6 on Akumu xD it was a game that you either loved or completely hated. As a longtime fan of the original Resident Evil from 1996 and a fan of Shinji Mikamis work and games I can say that it was an underrated game and I was pleasently surprised to find out that they will release a sequel to it this year.

So after putting around 30 hrs into The Evil Within 2 I can tell that its a good entry and solid sequel but it lost its charm from the original. All the awesome gameplay mechanics like burning bodies with matches or bypassing deadly needle bombs are gone. The bosses are fun but not even nearly as memorable and difficult as in the Original. Same as with the antagonists, they come out of nowhere and there is no awesome Boxhead enemy that follows you around. They tried to tack in some weird Laura type creature thing that stalks you around but it felt also out of place.

Where the sequel shines thou is its story and of course gameplay. The story this time around is very personal and the last chapters convey the raw emotions Sebastian goes through pretty well. When you finally finish this game you will feel like you have overcome a true nightmare very similar to the first game but with more closure.

So in the end this game turned out to be a pretty well done sequel to its original masterpiece and I hope there will be a third entry to explain some loose ends this game leaves open. Final score 8 green gel bottles out of 10 :D

Despite haters giving it an unnecessary low score and being it the anual CoD entry we gotten used to by now, this game seems actually pretty fun and fast paced. I come all the way back from the glory days of CoD on the PC starting with CoD 1 and its expansion pack United Offensive where I used to run rifle only servers and I remember harbor being a great, great rifle only WW2 map :D

Now since I do love the CoD series as a whole and even aknowledge some weaker entries like Ghosts, Blops3 and last years Infinite Warfare, I still find myself returning to this game once a year. So what makes this years entry special ? Nothing much really aside from it feels like World at War with shinnier graphics and a lot of much smaller and clustered maps.

Do I like it ? Hell yes !!! Would I say it gets repetitive ? Yes of course it does ! Would I describe it as fun to play ? Abso -♥♥♥♥- lutely ! So do yourself a favor and try it out, and if its not down your alley then uninstall it and carry on since Destiny 2 is around the PC corner as well cough cough...

Just dont give it a low score and try others to convince that its absolute trash, because now you can try it out for free and decide for yourself ^^ 8 out of 10 incendiary buckshots for the shotty !
