Invented by a mad Andorran monk in 1422, the demicolon is a versatile (if a bit showy) punctuation tool. While a semicolon can only connect two related-yet-independent clauses, a demicolon can connect anything to damn well anything else it pleases. Then it calls all of the semicolon's friends and leaves threatening voicemails on their answering machines.
