This game is awesome! I don't know if this qualifies as a hidden gem because it's somewhat well known if you are into metroidvanias, but if you think it should this game is definitely a hidden gem!
EDIT: I put the game in the "Hidden" gem category in my library :)
Anyway-the art style is an absolute banger, the story and the humor is A+ plus this game gives you such a good feel when you beat it. (I took about 21 hours to finish it, but I tried to do all there is to do)
Only thing I didn't like is that the upgrade points you can find give you random perks to chose from, which can be different if you load the game new. Guess what I did..
This doesn't change the fact that this is a crystal clear recommendation from me.

Very cool game. Especially for dat price: I would say try it! The worst thing that could happen is dat you don't like it. But then you only spent like two fiddy.
Also:: the music goes hard!

This game is hecking awesome!

At first the movement feels kinda strange but
it grows on you.
After you got your first win (it might take a while, I am bad therefore it took me about 40 hours) the game is far from over. Every level has a few secrets which take time to uncover. There is so much content in this, it's amazing!
If you're looking for a fun 2D rouge lite, try this.
The art style and the music is chef's kiss. Plus: if you liked Terraria, Katana Zero and such, this game is such a heartwarming experience. If you are thinking about getting the game then get it! It's a clear recommendation on my end.
I could praise this game lots more, but i don't wanna bore you.

Awesome app. The usage is giga-complicated, tho. At least if you have no experience with 3D modelling software. That said: Its highly impressive what you can do with this app, if you know what you are doing.. And its free, what makes it a no-brainer, imho. Learning Blender equals hours over hours of googleing. For years.

This game is really good. Like really, really good.
Only gripe I had with the game was that its mechanics never got deep. If I want to force a metaphor it would be a wide, but clear puddle.
I don't wanna spoil anything, but if you like feelgood games and can live with games without overly deep mechanics definitely try that.
Honorable mentions for the cut scenes and the music.

This game is funny AF but the fight against Mitch Connor made me uninstall this. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quit this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a "fight", Steam is big and I dont wanna deal with games dat dont value my time. Also: ♥♥♥♥ the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ubisoft Launcher. like i said: funny game, but the final boss made me uninstall this.

EDIT: i have dat much playtime since i beat it when it came out, i decided to replay this cause i forgot most of the game..

They game looks rly. pretty, def. one of the best looking metroidvanias in my eyes. The combat is direct and as u would expect from a soulslike-there isnt a difficulty slider and the game isnt easy. I personally hated dat i had to walk back from the last save point to a boss, thats just artificially difficulty. but if u can live with that and are interestedu get a clear recommensation from me. If u arent sure yet there is a demo btw.

Update: I finished the game today and since i started it playing 2022 its def. my game of dat year.
The DEVS seem nice aswell since u can spot them in the steam forums. They gave away the first
DLC for free, u wont regret buying this if u like metroidvanias and
challanging games, i promise :3
Challanging in the sense dat it isnt impossible nor giga hard, but the victory
over a foe isnt free.

The game is rly. good! Ofc its just taste but this game is in my eyes a hidden gem. Nothing more to say-if u can afford it and like those types of games then try it and form ur own opinion. btw the game also has a demo.

It is a solid game.
An extendet endame where you play on when you finish the playthrough doesnt exist, you cant play on on after your done Buy this if u want a game with a cool story, and not if youre looking for one dat will be a big time investment.

I think this game is poorly balanced, like i never play round based strategy games so im the definition of a casual player. yet when I set the game difficulty on the easiest setting i cant beat the final boss of the second zone. Clearly this is a skill issue but also a proof for the games imblalance.
Its prolly a great game if you know what you doing, if you dont then its not and frustrating.
if you like these kind of games you will prolly like this, my neg. review is purely cause of the balance.
