I owned this game for years. Even had it before it landed on early access on steam. Not much has changed since then honestly.

Edit: Still having fun, but disappointed with the lack of new content in 2022. This game made millions but has had more road-map adjustments and scale downs then actual content released.

Edit: Still having fun, and enjoying the new content. 2023 has been a good year and this game is back on track.

Pretty good mmo. The glory days are certainly behind it and not much quality content is released anymore. The company that runs this game keeps getting sold every few years and that has impacted the game severely.

Quick vague spoiler free review.

A point and click adventure with only a single incredibly small puzzle near the beginning and one near the end. The rest of the game is a slow walk and talk through a town to solve a mystery about an incident that happened to your late grandfather. The game isn't nearly long enough to create a compelling narrative and it is hard to feel any attachment to characters you talk to once or twice. There is a horror(or science fiction? I really didn't know what they were going for) element, that to me comes out of nowhere after the beginning of the game. Again, this element isn't explained in depth and the conclusion at the end of the game is very underwhelming.

As far as the gameplay is concerned there aren't any bugs and I was never really confused on what to do or where to go. The gameworld is incredibly small and sparse of objects, usually you can get by with examining each object and then talking to a relevant person about it. That usually opens up a new place to go and then you repeat the process.

I give it a solid 5/10. I bought it on sale for a couple bucks and it was worth that price. The story is mediocre at best and doesn't stand with any of the fantastic indie point and clicks released in recent years or even close to the titans of the genre. Money and time could be much better spent trying those. However the game makes sense for the most part and the voice acting was fine. Music was well made and fit the atmosphere of the areas almost all of the time. It took me 5 hours to complete the game at a snails pace with a little bit of a replay to see if dialogue choices matter. It doesn't, all choices lead to same thing. I don't recommend the game because there are much better stories out there to experience but if it's on sale and you really enjoy point and clicks with little to no puzzles then you could still do worse than giving this one a try.
