I've been playing this on and off for a couple years with my buddy and we keep coming back to it. Highly recommend, even if solo. It's one of the best auto battlers I've played, if not the best, and I'm a huge fan of the genre.

Pretty lit game. Absolutely worth the price. I kept being surprised over and over by the sheer amount of content that kept coming up. Every time I thought "Ok, I pretty did everything" I'd find a new thing to go for. High recommend if you are a vampire survivor/revers bullet hell fan and are looking for something a little different.

Also the boner puns are pretty good.

absolute banger of a game, much more than meets the eye. On top of the current state being very good, it seems the coming updates are only going to improve the game as well!

Open world doesn't fit this genre and actively detracts from my enjoyment. I spend more time running around lost and confused than actually progressing. If Fromsoft continues this style I won't be buying another game from them sadly :(

Edit: I stand by what I said, but after beating it I can say it's a worthwhile experience, albeit unnecessarily frustrating.

The gameplay is a unique twist on a match-3 (or 4 in this case) puzzle game, adding in good RPG elements and McMillen's usual brand of randomly generated levels and enemies. The graphic style is a unique and awesome representation on the developer's ability to stand out in a world full of 16 bit roguelikes.

Needs a friend to play with but it's a solid game with neat mechanics

It's XCOM with swords and no main story

I haven't played much so far but it's so damn good that I am forcing myself to wait for more content so I can get the full experience. This finished product will most likely be one of the best indies to come out for a few years.

EDIT: I couldn't help myself. I played several hours more. It's so fun. Get it.
