This game needs to be removed from Steam, Mortal 2 is an embarrassment to what was a good franchise. Do yourself a favor and forget this game ever existed and enjoy the memories of Mortal Online.

This game is a PERFECT love-child of Dungeon Keeper and Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode. The wild perks and combinations on your minions or your...*ahem* unpaid interns from the lovely human village down the road that burnt down recently, terrible really, what's this world gone to?

Do you want a goblin crafter that has boosted crafting skills but he makes people "aggravated" annoying but harmless right? Well just recruit this goblin and wait for the "fun" to begin. Turns out he said some things to the Cyclops that lives nearby and you just made yourself a target. It attacks you, you're unprepared, you lose 8 goblins and 2 imps before you put it down...great no crafter anymore. GOB-GOB HAS AN IDEA. Just go attack the stumpies and take THEIR blacksmith! Fool proof, attack them and win?? Take the blacksmith prisoner and now the dwarf is cranking out gear for my entire war machine single handed???

Start a new fort.
Have the most popular tavern around in the shape of an anvil for reasons.
Have a human pikeman petition for residency so that he may slay monsters in my caverns.
I deny him residency.
Have the same human pikeman plot to steal my prized loincloth made by a now legendary child crafter.
Kill the same human pikeman after he stole my prized loincloth, he was butchered mercilessly outside my entrance.
Have a human caravan at my trade depot right next to the entrance.

Go to war with Humans over murdering a loincloth thief.

I really sat down the other day and took the time to get immersed in this game, and I was not dissapointed at all, the procedural generation, the random towns, tombs, encounters etc that you come accross can be comical all the way to being downright dark and twisted. From that description it's easy to assume you never know exactly what to expect when exploring a new planet for the first time and I love that about this game, the crafting can be difficult resource gathering wise but also extremely rewarding in my opinion. Cant wait to see what else happens with this game in the long run.
