DARK SOULS™ III

One of the best games I have ever played... Period!

First things first:
You DO NOT need to play the previous games to understand this one, while it helps it isn't needed and the story (without spoilers as its widely known and is pretty much said in the first cut-scene) is all about cycles and history repeating itself.

You CAN play with your friends, you can play with up to 3 friends for a total of 4 in a party (including you) some areas only allow 2 FRIENDS to be summoned as having multiple people in your game can ruin game-play and difficulty.
Remember this game is still supposed to be a challenge!

IF YOU DON'T HAVE FRIENDS OR WANT TO PLAY SOLO:
You can also summon anyone else into your game as well; just make sure you have an ember popped and you will be able to see their summon sign!

You do not have to play with anyone if you do not want to, there is an offline mode and this can be a useful tool for when you know you can get through an area alone but you keep getting invaded! (you will learn what this is soon enough)

To keep yourself sane, use a controller for the best game-play (like rocket league) <------ IMPORTANT READ

If you are new to this franchise be warned learning and getting into this game/genre can be difficult, I don't doubt you will struggle with the first boss, however when you finally slay that mother its truly rewarding and a testament to both the difficulty of the game and your newfound skill! (OF SPAMMING ROLL) ;)

REVIEW:
The world of this game is quite big, with beautiful graphics despite being slightly old.
Its also non-linear, while still keeping the main path accessible and somewhat pointing you in the right direction.

Where this game really shines is through story telling and lore, its never too far away!
By just looking at some of the smallest details thousands of years of story can be told!
Every weapon has lore behind it be it a boss weapon or a common pick up.
It has call backs to previous games and references to some OG characters which is great to see, along with foreshadowing of new events and possibilities!

This game's deluxe edition is £15 on sale; it comes with two very well sized expansions, with multiple new areas with ranging sizes and a multitude of new weapons, which expand build options, the story and lore along with challenging new enemies and bosses!

10/10 have already bought again (you should too!) ;)
