I expected this to be the equivalent of a smartphone app meant to pass the time...

I was wrong. Although it does a good job at passing the time it keeps you engaged. It's not at all repetitive. You have to stay vigilant and keep your eyes on the cars. There's no time to sit back and relax. You have to be on your toes, as the second you look away a car may overfill and all your hard work will be for nothing. The large about of locations to have your metro and the various different arrangement of landforms helps you not get bored.

That being said... It does this without being overly frustrating or stressful*. After All, it's a casual game. It's got friendly colors and nice audio. Nothing too harsh. It's something that's great to play after a long day of work. Although it requires some thought it isn't overly tiring. It's just enough.

It lacks a lot of the features that seem to lead to other game's demise. Microtransactions, room for game breaking bugs, and overdone graphics. It's just a modest game with a simple concept.

*sorry to put you down Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy.
