Editing this review after the new update.

Peeker's advantage or not, the input lag is still a big problem. Mouse aiming feels stutterry, laggy, and always a little behind what im actually doing with my mouse. Probably not a "game" issue, but Valve should have taken their players' potato PCs into account. No wonder the game dipped 18 % in player count right after CS2's release. Players either didn't like the game, or couldn't run it at all.

Also, after the new update, the game looks a little... stretched on 16:9? As if the FOV increased. I couldn't notice this issue on 4:3. And it only seems to affect the map? The player models looked normal sized, but the map seemed narrow-ish and taller?

Talking resolution..: The less FPS, the less i can accurately aim my mouse! CS:GO didnt have this issue either. I used to play 60-70 FPS max, and aiming was crisp with no issues whatsoever. No idea what changed. I am FORCED to play on 4:3, 1280*960 due to performance issues. The FidelityFX Super Resolution is such ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This sole setting allows me to reach 60 FPS, for the low cost of not being able to see ♥♥♥♥. Why not make other settings go even lower? I don't need water and material reflections or fancy particles, textures can look like in GTA:San Andreas. Why not? Do I need to read the instructions on the fire extinguishers on Nuke? No. One thing; I would appreciate it if I could see enemies standing further than 5 meters away.

R.I.P. CS:GO. This GPU-heavy, ping-dependent eyesore (seriously, Valve needs to add a Saturation setting) rotting corpse of a game will never be able to replace you.
Not recommended.

Third edit: whatever I was waffling about, blah blah, is still the same and I'm still mad about the 1,7k hours in CS:GO that were just thrown out the window like this.

4th edit: 1 year of CS2. Still very poorly optimized, and subtick sucks. The number of blatant spinning helicopter cheaters decreased greatly, but there's a lot more closet cheaters (wallhack, radarhack, aim assist) now. 27 games in a row with at least one cheater in my or the enemy team.
