I have mixed feelings about this game, but have to lean on the negative. I've personally beaten every boss except the final boss (The Soul).

Starting off, the biggest problem with the PC version is no mouse support. This is already a hard game, and with keyboard only, you can only shoot in 8 directions (I still got to where I did though).

Certain bosses are fun and creative, and it is very rewarding to figure out how to beat them, and executing the technique. But some bosses are no fun at all as their weak spot appears too randomly, so your beating them is based largely on luck. Most bosses are passable in this aspect, but the worst offender is the final boss, which has an erratic weakspot that randomly spawns and despawns. Even if I can survive that boss fight for 10 minutes straight, there was no way I could hit the weak spot unless I was extremely lucky for it to spawn in one of the 8 directions and I had my arrow on.

Another problem is that some of the bosses feel cheap. Their AI is not well done because their attacks aren't natural. For example, the Golem with fists will home on you perfectly, even if you quickly change directions. It just makes it feel weird as a huge golem's fist shouldn't be able to predict precisely where you're moving. When you see how well each attack homes onto you, it starts to feel unnatural, and makes the bosses feel one note.

For a game that is ONLY bosses, the AI of each boss needs to not just be perfect, but FEEL perfect. They can be extremely difficult and frustrating, but it needs to FEEL that the AI attacks are natural. Because of these facts, I can't recommend this game, which is a shame as its art is gorgeous and its premise is great, and a lot of the bosses are actually very well designed.
