Early Access Review
Being an early access title that is still in development, I see a lot of potential in this game! Undomestic is a base building, RPG, adventure style game with a lot of promise. I was sent a couple codes for me and my friends to try out on game night, and it was a fun time. I enjoy games when your character has a vague, mysterious backstory and that’s how this one starts off. After you learn how to build, complete some combat training, practice cooking food to survive, and crafting your weapon; you are sent off on a quest to help rid the area of nearby enemies. In my time with this game, I completed the quests that I could find across the land and slain every type of enemy I came across! Unfortunately, after I completed a few steps of what seemed like the main quest, I encountered a bug where I couldn’t turn it in. But this title is in early access so I did expect there to be some bugs or things that need fine tuning! As I played, I did keep a list of suggestions that I would like to be in the game in the future: custom key bindings, sensitivity settings, a dedicated build menu interface, enemy health bars, multiple save slots, fast travel points, visible weapon stats, 3rd person view, a level xp system, online co-op, and achievements. Some of these features may have already been planned in an upcoming update, or have been added and I missed them but as content gets added, these things would help the game flow more easily in my opinion! Overall, great experience and time playing this game so far and I know this small team of three developers are doing big things over at Tempest Studios. I really appreciate the game codes and look forward to seeing what features/content comes next!
