I wasn't expecting to like this game, people were saying it's boring, a "walking simulator" (as if that's some kind of insult)... I love it. I can't put it down. I couldn't finish Metal Gear V but this... This grips me in a way that the plot of MGV couldn't. It looks beautiful, the story is compelling, it oozes with that typical Kojima style, theatrical, dramatic, convoluted, often a bit goofy, if you like his style, you'll like this as well. If not... Then you're probably not going to like this. For me, I find the gameplay to be really fun and rewarding. Traversing terrain, bending it to your will to make it easier, the co-operative element with online structures and helping each other out, connecting up America again... It all feels great. I suppose Death Stranding is a bit like the old Marmite/Vegemite saying "you either love it or you hate it". If this is the kind of game for you, you'll be singing its praises like I am, if it's not, you'll think it's an overhyped walking simulator with big star movie actors.

Oh... There's combat, sneaking, and driving, too. Which are all fine, but certainly not what you get the game for.
