The single greatest Half-Life mod I ever had the chance to play. This is an absolute masterpiece and the peak of modmaking. The level design, the story, the scenes, the voice acting is all phenomenal. No glitches, bugs or weird scripting. Everything in this mod is perfect and noone can tell me otherwise. I think 3650 is my favourite Half-Life character now. A massive thank you to the team behind this amazing mod, you absolutely killed it. Please make more! This is the kind of expansion and storytelling the Half-Life universe deserves.

!!! CONTAINS SPOILERS !!!

With more than 500 combined hours put into all three games, plus the additional 141 hours I've put into two playthroughs in the Legendary Edition, I can say with certainty that the Mass Effect trilogy is easily the best gaming adventure I've ever had the chance to experience. There are so many things they got right in these games, the list could go on forever. To keep it short, I will simply highlight the best mechanics and story elements in each of the games, and what I specifically praise them for.

We start off with the original Mass Effect, which I first had the opportunity to play back in 2017, so I got introduced to the trilogy fairly late. Many people like to ♥♥♥♥ on the combat and RPG elements of the first game, but I'm just going to go ahead and state that ME1 is my favourite of the trilogy, and that's not because ME2 and ME3 aren't impressive, it's just that ME1 holds a very special place in my heart, and I think it has the biggest soul out of all three games. There's just something special about it in comparison to the other two, and I can't help but miss the exploration elements introduced along with the Mako and the uncharted worlds. Sure, the side missions can definitely get a little tedious over time, but with the LE Mako-over, exploring planets and experiencing their mini story arcs, I believe that's what made ME1 special to a lot of people, and the Hammerhead in ME2 doesn't bring that same joy with its overall linear level design. We're introduced to so many interesting concepts, characters, cultures, backgrounds and expansion, it's understandable why the game was so revolutionary even back in 2007. With LE, I can only further emphasize the brilliance of ME1.

Mass Effect 2 took a pretty dark and bold turn not just in terms of the story, but also gameplay-wise. When I booted up ME2 for the first time, I never truly expected the story to go in the particular way it did, but after I got used to basically saying goodbye to the Normandy SR1 and most of the original crew, I started to appreciate bit by bit the direction ME2 was going in. ME2 is dark, gritty, and does an excellent job of portraying the alien and unknown parts of the galaxy, while still using concepts and the basis of ME1. Everything is so perfectly crafted, even the little things, such as the ominous sound effects when you click on a mass relay in the galaxy map, to the blood and veiny effect on the screen when you take too much damage. ME2 is visceral and ruthless, fighting an almost hopeless fight against the Reapers, or in this case, the Collectors. Don't even get me started on the soundtrack, which in my opinion is a very welcome change from the synthetic sounding tracks of ME1. Every time you hear those war drums and metal clanging whenever the Collectors attack, you ♥♥♥♥ your pants hoping you don't lose another Normandy and half of your crew. Everyone's life is always on the line, and you get to know just how fragile humans and the other species are. It only took the Collectors one surprise attack to obliterate Shepard and the Normandy SR1, and in my opinion, the team behind ME2 couldn't have come up with a better idea than to kick things off that way. Most of the loyalty missions are brilliantly written, and the characters are very much fleshed out. ME2 does have its tedious parts as well, but that's what is special about ME - the more side stuff you do, the more satisfying it will be when you see the end result. The suicide mission is one of the best ending missions I've ever played in a video game. The stakes are high, chances of survival low, and you're the one put in charge of everybody's lives. ME2 is a truly revolutionary game and a fitting continuation of ME1.

This brings us to the final game of the trilogy, Mass Effect 3. Each of the games have their own vibe, and if I had to sum them up, ME1 would be 'curious exploration', ME2 'adrenaline-filled survival' and ME3 'emergency duty'. The game puts you in action fairly quickly and suddenly you realize the terror of what was set up in the previous 2 games - a full blown Reaper invasion right in your face with no initial knowledge of how to even beat them. They have superior numbers, superior firepower and they make ground troops by harvesting the advanced species, turning them against their own kind. The conflict between humans and turians during the First Contact War, the genophage created by the salarians and unleashed by the turians against the krogan, the eternal war between quarians, the creators and geth, the created - all of these differences have to be put aside in order to even have a chance at winning. The game's core message is that victory is only possible if we work together. In the case of ME3, even that isn't enough, because no matter how many war assets you collected during your run, there will still be casualties - it is unavoidable. The gameplay in ME3 is relatively similar to ME2 (which I didn't even talk about in terms of gameplay perspective but nevermind), but I still prefer ME2's gameplay because in my opinion ME3 is too much of an arcade shooter. Guns have no recoil, the sound effects are ridiculous and everyone moves at Mach 2 for some reason. This is the reason why I ultimately prefer ME2's combat, which consists of careful planning, meticulous use of the cover system and satisfying feel / weight of the guns you use. The DLCs for ME3 are brilliant, and nothing beats experiencing the feeling of seeing all the fleets of the united galaxy jump out of the Sol Relay ready to bring down their might on the terrifying force of the Reapers.

There's so much more I could mention about each of the three games, but I decided to keep it fairly short and just put in what came to my mind immediately. To anyone wanting to experience the trilogy, I can only recommend it. Mass Effect is a journey like no other - with a world, a story and characters you'll never forget about.

Very solid fighting game. Amazing combos and ultimates and the game heavily rewards you for winning. Keyboard controls aren't the easiest to figure out, but you can definitely play this (effectively) with a keyboard.

My second favourite of the GTA titles. The plot is average, but you witness Franklin, Michael and Trevor's character developments and how they grow throughout the story. Sure, they may be criminals, but it's nice to see their perspective in a game for a change.

As for the online mode, it's really a mixed bag. When you're a new player and you start getting into it, going through all the races the first time, completing hard heists with others after struggling and failing multiple times, it's really captivating. However, after a while, to be honest, it gets boring. After you've done it all, stole all the jets from the military base, done all the VIP missions, got revenge against all the tryhards after your newly purchased Buzzard, there's really nothing else to do except replay missions and do the same things. Sure, Rockstar still keeps releasing updates and adding new content, but overall, after each update, it still feels the same.

You will enjoy this game a lot when you're playing it for the first time, and even after that for months. But after some time, that joy will slowly and noticeably fade.

A solid, enjoyable game. You have the freedom to do anything you want with only a few restrictions. Didn't play much with it though, grabbed it on a free weekend and didn't play more with it than a few hours so I don't know what direction the game went in since then.

One of my favourite games ever, doubt Valve can do anything with the game that would make me love it less. I always keep coming back to it, no matter the state it's in.

My first ever game on Steam, and among my favourites of all time. In fact, at first I registered on Steam solely just to play this game. My first username "p-body" also originated from Portal 2.

I absolutely adore the concept of Portal and its sequel, navigating through puzzles using portals, cubes and other fun gameplay elements. The main mode of the game (singleplayer) has a simple, but thoroughly enjoyable plot. GLaDOS is one of my favourite antagonists in a video game. Portal and Portal 2 are both very important parts of internet and gaming culture.

Co-op is also a fine addition to the game, giving two players even more puzzles and an interesting challenge: they have to work together to complete the tests and only together can they do that. I put countless hours into both parts of the game, having replayed the story about a dozen times and playing through co-op with many good steam friends of mine. In-fact, it was Portal 2 where I met most of my true steam friends who some of them I even know in real life.

Then there's the third major part of the game: creating test chambers yourself. I'm gonna tell you something, I suck at it. Look through my workshop, I only created stupid things like a giant turret. However, people still really liked that concept and that's what made it so captivating for me. You can do great puzzles and share them, which others will appreciate and play them with an already deep dedication for the game. And, if you feel like doing a short story, Hammer is always at your side with all the tools necessary.
