It's a very simple and easy to play puzzle game, where you just arrange pieces of the puzzle, which can be 6,12 or 24,up to your choice. Nothing special really, just a decent time waster I guess.

Winter Assault is the first expansion to Dawn of War that brings two new campaigns, where you get to play the Eldar and the Imperial Guards and also the Chaos Marines and Orks, lots of new fights and cutscenes and the best part, even more gore and big boom's that you already expected from a Warhammer game.

As already specified in my older review regarding Dawn of War , graphically and soundwise it is still pretty much the same, maybe with some of the effects being a bit more shiny or textured, but even so,still looks pretty decent, has a good vibe,it's generally good.

Gameplay is yet again very similar to the first original game, but what varies is the style of the campaign missions, being harder because of the limited units in some certain ones, wave based attacks and also much more defensive missions,so that would be biggest difference compared to the first game, which is a welcomed change in my opinion.

Storywise,it's pretty generic, the good guys wanna revive a big robot, but then sometimes get into a fight against each other and stuff like that and the bad guys just wanna kill everything and beat everyone and....have fun doing it I'd say.

There aren't that many bugs, but the worst and most annoying is pretty much the way the AI moves units and it's absolutely horrible when playing the Orks cause they always get stuck in each other or can't pass or will simply stop doing anything, but everything else is pretty ok.

Overall it's good, just as fun and engaging as the first Dawn of War,but with new campaigns, units for multiplayer and factions,it's generally just a better and improved version, really worth playing it at least once.

Voidtrain is a crafting survival game, still in early access, set in a fantastic world that changes each time you head out with your small ( or later on,quite huge ) train, fight off leeches, flying sharks and soldiers that might or might not be nazis, who could even tell at this point, while in the mean time you collect tiny cute allies, upgrade your gear and the train itself and figure out what exactly is the story trying to tell you.

Now graphically, the game looks great and seems well polished, the atmosphere is really bringing out the feeling of mystery and the fact that you're exploring in an unknown world, with many different zones out in the Void, some seem colourful and cheerful, meanwhile some are darker and come with quite an incomfortable feeling, like something's about to happen. The textures are well made, the effects could be a bit more impactful,in gunfights especially, but there will definitely be more updates later on.

Soundwise, there's a good voice actor for the narrator, makes it's lines actually sound funny,as they should be,the music is also very good, helps the atmosphere quite a lot and the sounds in general work quite well, the little allies you gather are a joy to watch and listen to as well,in general it's good,it works well, tho in the Arenas,it's a bit hard sometimes to pinpoint where enemies are coming from, might be an issue from my side, can't say for sure.

There is some story, you're supposed to follow some scientist who wanted to figure out stuff about the Void and why people are fighting around in it,but sadly, there's still more chapters that need to be introduced and worked on,so you only get like a basic idea of what's going on,but even so,it's presented decently and the narrator really backs it up.

Now talking about gameplay,it's pretty similar to Raft, you basically get a tiny and sad looking piece of s....train that with a lot of gathering, researching and developing, will turn into a huge machine travelling in the depths of space, surrounded by a cute army that risk their lives for you....but not really, sadly.

The cute allies and the army part was only recently introduced to the game,so if you were playing before, you would have to farm almost everything all alone or with some friends, cause the game does support COOP,yet that was one of the reasons why many people have kinda given up on the game,it used to take way too long and way too many runs to have a decent progress, but now with the Automation Update,i'd say that it takes away that grinding hustle.

Researching is easy, you just build a table, gather mats,do the studies and then slowly work your way up,unlock more train parts, new passives, the Roofleemo's and the Loot Catchers, which are the most important part, while new resources also unlock with the tree, although Acid is locked behind the Arena part, which also might drive away players, since you have to farm those properly, the allies can't gather that at all,at least for now.

Your gear is pretty much crafted as you see fit,all the parts of your weapons can be removed and used as you want, which is really nice, giving you the ability to turn an SMG into a sniper and later on into a shotgun with ice bullets as a secondary,if you wish to do so obviously.

The runs contain a couple random events, which can be altered with certain rituals you unlock at a later part in the story, sadly yet again, there aren't that many so it get's really repetitive after a couple hours, hopefully this will slowly change as the devs keep adding new stuff and content, the station being the main hub where you get some free mats,a new ally once you unlock them and enemies that you can also fight for loot.

Enemies are yet again, pretty much the same and not very different, the Arena has some alien mobs, the Void has some flying fishes and the main enemy are the wannabe nazis, who have different loadouts and HP,but still work in pretty much the same way. Gets repetitive quite fast as well, but surely as the story will develop,so will the enemies I'd say.

Overall,Voidtrain is a crafting exploration game, with survival elements, similar to Raft, but it still has issues being an early access, the main one being that it gets repetitive pretty much after 5-6 hours,so unless you're a fan of this genre or have a few friends to play with,it might just be too boring to be worth getting. For me,it's a good game, that has a lot of potential, but I do love the train developing part and the Automation Update really boosted the time spent actually playing and exploring, rather than just gathering, being sad that you don't have enough of anything and gathering again,to get to the same conclusion.

Would be wiser to get on a sale, maybe even for die hard fans of the genre,it's really up to your own preferences at this point. Still a solid 7/10 , that might be better and better in time, but with the latest update,i'm hopeful that it's heading into the right direction....just as the train.

If you want a real, good and serious RTS that keeps you on your toes, brings you joy and let's you experience the cruel and gory universe of Warhammer , Dawn of War was the very first one that redefined a lot of the fun and exciting parts of army building.

As graphics come, they are pretty decent, even if the game is quite old now,but even so,it doesn't make you feel bad playing something that doesn't look good enough for today's standards, but the troops look decent, the effects are cool and some units have some great animations, especially when fighting in close combat, sadly, the biggest issue is the lack of proper widescreen support, unless you mod it,but i've never gone that far,the game was decent even so.

Soundwise, yet again, just a pretty standard experience, but the soundtrack is quite nice, giving you a good vibe that complements the war that is on-going all around and everywhere around you,the voicelines are nice but do get repetitive after a while.

The story is quite good, presented in a few interesting cutscenes, some plot-twists,but it's all really made well,in a brutal way, just as the Warhammer universe is. Be prepared for a lot of dying and lots of blood spilling.

Now talking about gameplay, there's where everything just shines,or well,at least in most cases, because one thing that will eventually annoy you,is the pathing of the units, cause sometimes, you feel like it's completely broken.

The game is split into a main campaign, skirmish and multiplayer, sadly the campaign has only the space marines, but you can play the other factions in skirmish or multiplayer, which is nice, cause you get to experience all the factions. I'd recommend playing the campaign first,it's much more interesting to learn the game and all and then go into all the other factions.

You build stuff with some chill workers, who then expand the base with new technology that you unlock from the main headquarters, then you capture new resource spots with your troops, that grant more resources and also spots to build on them, you can also hold those with turrets, which should be your priority, cause if you build posts on them, you also increase the resource production. In general, economy should be your priority,so you can expand more after.

As troops go,you have scouts, infantry, heavy inf and also vehicles, which all are better in some cases, tho all factions have some sort of ultimate unit, that can fight off pretty much anything, but if you don't back it up with anything else they do go down pretty fast,so be sure to play smart even if they seem strong and overpowered.

The maps are nice, varied and all have a great vibe, where you can feel that the war was tearing down at the whole place, they seem balanced so you don't get overwhelmed, the terrain has also different buffs for your units,so they can take less damage,so playing around and positioning your troops well does matter.

The most annoying bug is probably the way the troops have their pathing, cause it's very dumb and they can barely pass each other, also get stuck a lot when trying to pass, some don't even move for a while,it can get pretty annoying but even so,you can get past that issue.

Overall,Dawn of War is a great RTS that will easily get you into this genre, cause it's one of the best in the series, but then again,it's old and it's support for newer PC's is lacking, but for an old game,it's worth it completely.

Demonologist is a very engaging horror multiplayer game, where you're tasked to figure out what ghost you're hunting (or hunts you,in most cases), find all sorts of stuff, clues or certain items in order to exorcise and ensure the safety of that certain place or house, while building up your gear, get a nicer place, buy some furniture, get some pets and then get right back to fighting off some nasty ghosts.

Graphically, there are parts where the game looks great, but then there are some where it's quite gorgeous, there is a very good development when it comes to how the atmosphere makes the entire scene dreadful or scary. There are very rare cases of graphical glitches, but even so,the jumpscares or even the simply terrifying rooms and places where you are,all of them look great and just completely makes you ignore those random glitches.

Soundwise, there is also a nice touch from the devs, cause you can almost feel when the ghost breaths near you,but then again, the jumpscares are made in a good way,the ambiental sounds are sketchy and make you uneasy, the random times when the ghost starts talking with you or messes around also keeps you on your toes,in general, there is a good and nice balance when it comes to sounds and audio overall.

There is some story, but they're mostly spread around some of the safehouses you can own and also almost all of the maps have some sort of mini-stories,that you can trigger by either saying certain phrases, finding some notes or looking at something. It's mostly just easter eggs or little bits of notes.

Gameplay is also well polished, cause it might have similarities to Phasmophobia, but the items are more unique, more wild, which make them feel a bit more authentic and yet, even more satisfying to learn them and use them properly, but they are also quite expensive,so you won't just rush ghosts and risk losing everything.

In general, the maps are separated into 3 different phases, the first being finding evidence and figuring out the type of ghost you're dealing with, then the second phase is mostly a bonus one, with some random tasks that are maybe linked to the map or the ghost and the last phase is mostly a way to exorcise the ghost and end the mission.

The difficulty alters the way the ghost behaves, either being more aggressive or uses their unique differences more, but also the rewards are better and grant more, although even if you unlock those diffs, unless you're quite experienced and feel sure about staying alive,i'd advise risking because losing items is costly and you can easily go broke.

As you unlock and buy all the different gear, you're going to slowly learn which works best for your style, some peeps might find using the EMF easier to find spots or the room of the ghost, maybe the thermometer or even the spirit box,but if you were to follow the meta,I believe the thermometer and the ectoglass are the easiest to use and find the room.

You also buy new safehouses that you can customize, along your character's look,so there's quite some stuff to grind for, cause money isn't that easily obtained,so it does take quite a few runs when you wanna get something, but the new places are usually worth it.

The game is oriented mostly for multiplayer sessions, but you can just as easily play solo, but that will make it quite a bit more difficult cause you won't be able to install all the gear as fast and the sanity will fall quite fast, even faster if you're unlucky and get a ghost that is more aggressive, but in the same time, there's certain items that can change up the run,be it tarot cards,a voodoo doll or a ouija board.

There are some occasional bugs, luckily none of them game breaking or to ruin your runs, mostly visual ones, but sadly, the newer maps do feel a bit unoptimized which might crash your game if your GPU doesn't have enough VRAM,so do take that into account.

Overall,i'd say that Demonologist is a very unique and good horror multiplayer game, combining great ghost hunting, well made jumpscares and scary atmosphere, making it one of the best games of this genre out there and for it's price, the value and experience you get,it's easily worth it.

They Are Billions is a hardcore RTS set in a post-apocalyptic world where you are tasked to expand the empire by setting up new villages, fighting off swarms of zombies and other monstrosities all they way until you'll be building up cities in some of the dodgiest and scariest places ever, where survival is mostly just a vague hope.

Graphically, the game looks good but it's also very artistic, the steampunk style is really well done and just helps set the atmosphere just right, there's a genuine reaction that you feel with every new map that you play on,with some very plagued maps all the way to rainy coasts or frosty mountains,it all looks great and feels good to look at.

Soundwise,it's pretty standard, the environment has a sad vibe and filled with threat tho,as it should be,the whole city itself has a soul to say so,some people are walking doing their jobs, others get scared by zombies that get to close to the walls or if they walk too close to them,in general,it's well made and just clicks with the game.

The story is also decent,it's mostly centered around the survival of humanity and expansion of the empire, you being one of the crazy yet brave generals that has this crazy and hard task of securing the future and make sure that humanity doesn't end in one big city.

Now as gameplay goes, that's where this game stands out by quite a lot. The main missions are relatively simple, mostly just you having to build up a settlement, kill some zombies or a boss, get a certain amount of resources,so technically,it's nothing complicated. But that's where you're wrong.

The game itself is very difficult, because you will in many cases, underestimate just how many zombies there will be,how easily they can get into your base, and once they're in,if you don't contain it fast, you will certainly lose, cause 3 zombies taking one house down, leads to 8 zombies and then two more houses will be almost 20 zombies. To make matters worse for the player, you got no checkpoints, you lose at the last minute, you have to try all over again. That is a bit bad since you lose all the progress on that map,but it does help getting more used to the way the game works.

There is a nice research tree that you will unlock as you progress the game, but do keep in mind you won't be able to get everything,so do think about your choices, cause you might end up making your game way harder than it's supposed to be. What i've found working well for me was having as much economy and less consumers,so that I could focus more on properly expanding and defending, rather that about all the needs and lacks.

Most missions will force you with some certain conditions,be it less food on some parts or more energy consumption, but even so,while you expand and get the hang of the layout, make sure that you build towers and walls, set some soldiers in them ( not archers, those are mostly for quick scouting ) and this way you'll prevent in most cases, losing your entire mission. I've learned the hard way what happens if you leave even a tiny corner unprotected....and it's not nice.

There's also a few missions where you control a hero, those are quite good for getting the resources for the research trees, also to beat certain swarm missions on the campaign, which is also spread out across different routes,to keep a bit of variety, but all of them slowly getting harder and more demanding.

Now bug related, there aren't many, one that kept sometimes happening was troops kinda getting stuck in each other when left alone patrolling, dunno why, maybe it was just a weird route i've set up or could be something different, but that was all.

Overall, for any RTS fans, especially those looking for a challenge, They Are Billions is definitely a must get, providing a huge difficulty from the very beginning that only get's tougher as you progress, but also the excitement and joy you get once you've finally beaten a hard level,is well worth it,but if you're more of a casual player, then maybe you should at least wait for a sale.

For fans of relaxing and chill games,Train Station Renovation will surely tick some boxes, cause as it's name states, you're tasked with cleaning and repairing old and new train stations, with a nice variety of maps and a few secrets and stuff, all ready to destress a hard day.

As graphics go,it's quite decent, the more open and natural maps are quite enjoyable, way more than the urban ones, with the ambient and weather helping the vibe of the game, the textures are good, runs well and seems optimized, there are some parts tho where the game got a bit clunky, maybe some memory leaks, who knows, but even so,it looks good and runs good.

Soundwise, yet again it's decent, the music and soundtrack is chilling and relaxing,if you let yourself be relaxed completely, there's a high chance you can fall asleep, some of the tools do sound a bit weird, the sandpaper being the best example, but in general, the sound is good and the music really helps the atmosphere.

There isn't any real story, you're just a dude pretty much repairing and fixing stations...and that's pretty much all,tho the stations have a tiny lore as to what happened or where it's located.

As gameplay goes, you have all sorts of tools, that you either use to dismantle stuff or destroy them, paint walls or floors, grind the rails or just clean up around,be it trash or paints or even....blood pools for some reason. There's no reason to really go into details regarding the way the game works and what's what cause it's simple and you'll get the point real quick, but most missions do have a few different objectives as well,to spice things up.

Overall , Train Station Renovation is a relaxing, cleaning adventure game, where you'll build up a cleaning company, get new tools and skillsets, all based on a chill experience. It's quite decent and good, worth it for fans of the genre.

Remnant From the Ashes is an RPG-TPS set in a post apocalyptic story, where the Root took over most of the planet, but with some advanced technology, luck and sheer willpower, humanity got themselves on different worlds and has been given a second chance of saving itself, that is,if you can defeat some tough opponents along your journey.

As graphics go,it has some good moments,it looks polished, but some generic areas are just straight up...normal places. The atmosphere is there,it's good, especially on some of the later zones and once you start exploring with Adventure Mode, then you find some even better looking spots and the weather is a bit different, depending on what map roll you get. It's good, still comparable to many newer games, runs well on 4K with all cranked up.

Soundwise, there are a few ups and downs, could be an issue from my hardware situation, but the positioning of the enemies is sometimes quite hard to figure out based on sound alone, especially on the Rhom map, where some of the flying skulls seemed to be in a totally different spot than I would believe them to be. As a good point tho,the music is nice and engaging and same goes with the weapons, the boss weapons have some awesome sounds that really give them a great vibe when used, for me personally, the particle accelerator's special attack was close to love at first hearing.

The story is decent, pretty average tho, most of the lore is just found on papers or notes, sometimes the NPC's will tell you a bit more about what's going on or what happened, but it's fun to discover all those tiny bits of information and to advance further into the issue of the Root and what happened to the world all around you,but also all the other worlds.

Regarding gameplay, you can either waste a few days just finding some new items on Adventure Mode, farm trait points (which cap at 1K btw) or just mindlessly shoot around and get all your gear to max level. There's also Survival Mode, where you get rewards based on....you guessed, how long you survive. It's a fun mode, especially on higher difficulties, but Adventure Mode for me at least, was the go to mode when I wanted to spend a few hours.

Gearing is simple, you have some armor pieces that all have different set bonuses and they're either lighter or heavier, some resist at certain elements better than others, what i've done was to get 3 different bonuses and work with all of them at the same time. Weapons have mods, that you mostly obtain from bosses or by finding some of them around the maps, letting you switch around whenever you want, but only for the standard ones. The special weapons, that you also get from bosses, have some amazing mods, all of them are fun to use, sadly, you can only have a sidearm and a long range one,but that just keeps the game fun all the time.

There are also trait points, that are pretty much passives, you can get all of them up to 20 max and it caps at around 1K if I remember, but that takes quite a lot of farming and grinding, but at least you get materials as well during all that farm, which you will need lots if you want to experiment and try all the different builds and gear you can find.

Most of the fights are centered around gunfights, but there are quite an abundant number of melee weapons and builds, also a lot of the enemies will try to get into that range, yet in most cases,it all flows well into a good fighting system, where you don't seem underpowered or locked behind a power gap. There are some bosses tho that are very scripted so do be careful with those, some can even pretty much one shot you.

Besides all those modes and difficulties, you also have Hardcore mode, which gives account bound rewards if you beat certain bosses and the campaigns as well, but just as you'd assume,if you died once, the character is gone. It's worth a try after you finish at least once and get a hang of it how the game works and what's your style.

Bugs are pretty rare, mostly some hitboxes from a few large hitting mobs, but nothing really bad regarding that.

Multiplayer is fun,the game scales with the amount of people that are playing, tho considers the highest gear mostly,so a low geared player might have a harder time compared to a high leveled one. Traits don't really count for those tho,so you can use those instead of gear.

Overall,Remnant From the Ashes is a good RPG-TPS game, where you grind some levels, get some gear, shoot some bad mobs and generally just have fun and walk around a dungeon-like built worlds, sometimes getting your butt beaten and sometimes beating everything. Bosses are definitely the best part of the game tho. Worth a try for sure.

If you wanna test your friends and how well you can all communicate, the game We Were Here is one of the best solutions, since it comes with many challenges and puzzles, some relatively easy but some extremely hard to figure out or to simply...describe to your partner.

The FriendShip is mostly just an introduction to the series overall, bringing you 3 different trials,in which you test reactions, orientation and math's,all in a very entertaining and fun way,tho the last trial can be a bit of a hassle if you don't find a very good way to describe and coordinate your partner, yet even that can be just as fun.

It's got a nice touch regarding graphics, with a cute and chill artistic style, music and sounds are also good, goes hand in hand with the art style and the vibe of the game itself.

A short game, mostly 3 hours tops,if you want to perfect it,but it is after all mostly a nicer demo for the rest of the games in the series. Give it a try,see if it's your thing and make sure to grab a friend...tho I should state you might lose a friend as well,if y'all will start arguing why is left up and down is right and nothing makes sense, but that's all part of the journey.

Company of Heroes 2 is an RTS game, with all the action set in WW2 letting you experience some of the cruel and intense, but sad events that unfolded in our history, but from the safety of your own home this time, bringing some huge fights, crazy moments and quite the thrill.

Graphically, the game still looks great and can easily keep up with many other games in the genre, especially some of the campaign missions really bring out some of the engine's capabilities, either when the freezing storm hits and you start feeling like the winds are outside your house and you get the chills as well or all the smoke and debris just ruins the air and the environment, but all in all, there are quite a few jaw-dropping moments.

As sound goes,it's really good when it comes to multi-layering all of the things that on-going,if it's the crickets or the planes somewhere, explosions on one side of the map, gunshots somewhere else, rain,if your sound system is on par, you're going to really enjoy it,there are many times when the war really sounds as if it's going on for real, happening all around.

The story is pretty straightforward,it's related to some of the sad events that happened during the war,but modified a bit to be easier to play and engage into, but nonetheless,it's good,it's there, enjoying it will be easy to do,there's no doubt about that.

Regarding the gameplay,it's really easy to lose a couple hours to truly get the vibe and the satisfaction of overcoming quite a challenging situation, because sometimes there will be shells falling towards your troops and you barely got some options and also time,to turn the tide in your favor.

The game is pretty straightforward, with objectives varying from blowing something up,defending a certain spot, taking out an important target or building and in most cases,it's up to you to figure out how to do it,even if in some cases, there are certain hints or clues on what or where to go to have an easier time accomplishing the mission.

Controlling the units is relatively easy, you send them from cover to cover in most cases, use some skills, tho do be careful with some of the infantry grenades, happened to me a few times, they would get stuck in the animation and would be unable to throw nades after, which almost always led to them dying to whatever they were fighting.

There are some upgrades for the troops, either an additional weapon or skill, minor utility or defensive builds, all of them require resources that you get from capturing certain points of the map and if you want to get even more of those, you can build different little outposts on them so they generate more, sadly the troop capacity is one thing that sometimes makes the game feel a bit barren, but there are mods that can change that,if you're into that.

The maps are pretty easy to understand and plan around, but in case you wanna play online,it will become a way bigger challenge, since you can find turtle styled players or rushing ones, but that's what makes online part standout a bit more.

As I stated earlier, there are bugs here and there, the most common one i've had was the nade animation just getting bugged, but one another that was a bit annoying was tanks were just getting stuck in some unpassable tiny wall or alley that should be easily be broken by a huge, fat and heavy tank, but oh well, maybe i'm just assuming things....

Overall,Company of Heroes 2 is a great RTS that really encapsulates and brings out some of the strong and tragic feelings and events of WW2 , but in a good and engaging way and considering the price that the game usually sits at,it's definitely worth grabbing, especially if you're an RTS fan.
