For those of you that haven't played The Binding of Isaac before, it is a rogue-like top down shooter where you play as Isaac, a little boy that runs from his mother through several levels of monsters and other gruesome things, helped by tons of randomly generated items along the way. Each floor is random, each enemy is random, each boss is random. So with that out of the way, for the rest of you that have played the game before, Rebirth takes everything from the original and triples it. Tons of new items, tons of new enemies, tons of new room types, and still things that I'm discovering. I've had roughly 6-7 runs now still just starting the game, and I haven't had one identical run. The game is familiar to the original, but feels complete, and different enough to be a fresh feeling game. The new soundtrack is very atmospheric, the small visual effects adds depth to rooms, and yet there always seems to be a new item, or secret to find along the way. The difficulty is high, but the rewards and unlocks keep you coming back to find new things, and new experiences. The game expands as you get better at it (beat it more), much like the original, but to much greater lengths. I found myself playing the original Isaac for 230 hours, still finding some new things throughout the whole time, and with how much I've been finding new things in this new version of the game, you surely will find much more new things too. This is definitely not a game to pass up on.
