The Tenants is a game the blends a few different genres into one cohesive experience. You have your creative building/decorating with more of a focus on managing your properties/tenants rather than giving the player a large amount of creative freedom. As of now (early access), it's a fun game that offers the player creative choices but there's not a large amount of them. If you're hoping for creative freedom similar to The Sims franchise then this might not be enough for you.

That being said, it's not necessary a bad thing. Players who feel like they might respond better to a smaller variety of design choices will enjoy this game. The furniture that are there are well designed and how you place them ( often within small areas) is what makes the building/design part of the game feels a bit like a puzzle. How to fulfill what the client wants(if it's a renovation job) into a limited space is a challenge and creating a design that looks good isn't so easy.

If you're not the type that really like management games and are looking more for a building game, this might not be for you. You must like the management part of the experience because the building/decorating is not enough to carry the game by itself. If that's you then House Flipper might be more your style.
