So I was kinda skeptical after seeing that this looked like a port of the mobile game that was a fun time waster but just wanted to take your money for high-end balls. This game seems to have a lot of that in it, but there's an expectation of less of it since I dropped $20 on it.

A few games in and I am impressed with the pin physics - I think there's a few hiccups with weird boundaries to the pins and the deck (I see pins moving before they're touched and wood rolling around on the deck that should be falling off) - but on the whole the pins deflect and move like you'd expect. Especially good looking to me is the messenger pins - I've not seen a game replicate that phenomenon as well as PBA Pro Bowling seems to. Farside made the best feeling pinball physics in a game over on the Pinball Arcade so this achievement isn't a surprise.

The biggest criticism for me is the pace of play and customization of the camera. Between shots and frames there's a lot of impatient button pressing from me that I think can be removed. I would very much recommend to the developer to have a quick play type of option for players like me just wanting to knock down pins as quickly as possible.

I would VERY much like more camera options. It would be nice to have a view from the bowler, or from being the pins or overhead looking down on the rack - maybe even a custom camera system like The Show offers? Right now the options provided are bare bones for that.

The game controls well and looks fine. For $20 I am happy with it.
