Update after few more hours: very hard to recommend

- AI and penalty system is a big pain
- Campaign is missing, there are only "featured showcases" or builder cup, where you pick predetermined cars, a meaningful screen with winned cups and a better overview of it is missing (like in FM7 was)
- Graphics looks bad, Temporal AA is turned on by default and you can't turn it off, unless you edit some file, T AA makes the game look worse, everything is more blurry and shadows looks weird, also car got some glow from it makes even reflections look weird, T AA is poorly implemented, the game is missing another proper AA
- also i read, that better resolution you have, better graphics quality you got, no matter of your settings, this makes players with good PC but 1080p screen a little behind, so some dynamic quality adjustments are still running on background no matter what, Forza Motorsport 7 looks better for me

For 50% off, the game is kinda worth it. It has it's issues, sure, but driving in Forza is fun. There is a lot of cars to drive, specially a lot of new ones compared to FM7. The systems was fixed, you can buy upgrades for credits now, so there is no need to grind car levels, unless you want to. The game is constantly updated, they're adding new cars and tracks. Cars are rewards in the form of monthly challenges, FOMO.

This game was "Built from the ground up", but the ground is just Forza Motorsport 7. There are some new stuffs, like new graphics and new tire physics, etc. They're still using 14 years old car models, which they want to update over time.

The game cannot be played without internet connection and it's "live service" game. Copied from the website - "The new Forza Motorsport is an "evolving racing platform," and that means new free events and challenges every week."
