Ever wanted to explore Middle-Earth and see the town of Bree, the fields of the Shire, or the beauty of Rivendell with your very own eyes? Perhaps you aspire to be a warrior of the Free Peoples by wielding a shield with as much expertise as shield-master Boromir of Gondor? Or string an arrow to the bow as elegantly as the archer Legolas and leave a pile of Orcs in your wake? Or stroll through the town of Bree and into the Prancing Pony for a pint of ale?

The Lord of the Rings Online offer all those opportunities and more with a visually-stunning creation of Middle Earth.

Having spent the past decade and more playing this game in my free time, I will admit that initially downloaded the game not knowing what to expect of LOTRO's idea of Middle Earth. Many years later, I am happy to say that I've got the chance to do live and breathe Middle-Earth.

From simple solo exploring of the fields of the Shire to raiding up with up to 23 other people (24 in total) to fight the likes of vile creatures such as Balrogs - LOTRO has it. A good combat skill and trait system allows for dynamic fights and variety of game-play among the various classes. Feel like wielding a heavy shield and turning into a unbreakable wall or grasping a two-handed greatsword and breaking the Middle-Earth record of "number of Uruks killed"? Then make it happen by playing LOTRO!

Taking all of the above into account and adding on things like a wide choice of mounts for players, a flexible and in-depth crafting system, unique legendary items, custom-owned player housing with unparallel customization options makes The Lord of the Rings Online a must-play MMO.

Take your first baby steps in Middle-Earth by giving this game a try - who knows, you might even get into the history books found in the Library of Rivendell. You could even be one of the chosen few to simply walk into Mordor...and beyond!

Forward onto victory! Forward...FOR GONDOR!
