It's a great game, took me by surprise for sure. One of my first "metroidvania" style game and love it. Is that so that i'm thinking of getting OatBF after finishing this one. For this price just can't get any better, great amount of content, a lot of in-game mechanics, great boss fights, very good average playtime (even better if you try to do a 100% run), etc. To put it simply: GREAT VALUE.

With Hollow Knight you get:
- Huge interconnected map, with different "biomes" and such. Some fun platforming indeed.
- Traversing through hard sections of the map fells very rewarding once you make it!
- Great average playtime and replayability.
- Unique environments, artstyle and character design.
- Awesome sountrack.
- A plethora of unlockable skills that give you options for traversing the map and fighting.
- The boss fights are great, hard but not crazy hard. You just need to learn the patterns and use the right combination of skills/charms.
- For those who like challenges (and are OK getting frustrated haha): very hard achievements including speedruns, 100% speedruns and permadeath mode.
- Replayable in-game arena with very hard challenges.

I'm glad I gived this game a chance! If you like this genre, you NEED to play this game.
