Like Tekken 7 but everyone's more sauced up, QoL changes out the wazoo (buffers, rollback, training mode) too. A bit pricey, but it's a very well-made fighting game that pays dividends if you have the time to spend learning.
The ingame store system and microtransactions being revealed AFTER release is just scumbag behavior though.

The 99.9% pure, blue meth of arena shooter arcade games. Take note, other game devs. If your game doesn't feel like this, are you really living in 2024?

Like everyone else, I am buying this because it's too convenient to pass up, but seriously, charging for a frame data display is the scummiest ♥♥♥♥.

Oh man, this game is so freaking important. Just LOOK at it. LISTEN to it. FEEL it. Every time you think to yourself that this game has something wrong with it, it nods and agrees. Hell, it smiles back.

It in fact has a lot of things -wrong- with it. Everything in this game is wrong. It's bad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ vibes central. I had a bad trip where I thought the darkness of my bedroom was going swallow me, and that was cumulatively LESS unnerving than this game.

Every texture in this game stares, smiles, or has some other awful texture/color choice to it. The government permeates the fabric of existence (literally), and there is not a single thing in this game that one could describe as even remotely -pretty-, with perhaps the exception of the choir riff from the song Divinity of The Office.
Nothing in this world is beautiful, which is a very intentional design choice. Not even "LIFE"...

Things still make sense to some degree. There's a plot, there are endings, it's still a really fun Deus Ex-like shooter with a ton of fun ways to do everything, and secrets upon secrets. But everything is... off. Like a painting hung wrong or day-too-old milk.

That this game exists in the first place is proof of the ridiculousness of what it parodies. Bio-currencies, corporate-sponsored murder, the recurring theme of transactions, cubicles with demonic faces in them, the "CEO mindset", the seemingly divine (and terrifyingly so) power of literally just owning land... the intro does a great job of encapsulating the feeling of that, whatever -you- are, you are in fact "a worthless detached loser."

There's more to it but for now I'll leave it at this. In the era we live in, art like this is -important.- Something that is so actively oozing the vitriol and despair of "I live in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell world". It's like taking sandpaper to your nerves, in all the right ways.

10/10 I consider this game to be an ascended work of art. Would recommend to my friends, family, and pets. Consumer Softproducts and the minds/hands behind it, you are all geniuses. PLEASE release DLC, or at least more games.

Extraordinarily fun and enjoyable game, for competitive and casual players alike. THE freshest take on ball-games there ever was. Not to be missed. Play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game!

After playing this game I'd say it's pretty normal to feel a bit schizophrenic. If you can max out a favorite stat (my personal favorites being Physical Instrument, Volition, and Empathy) and not start thinking in those little voices, YOU'RE the weird one.

But seriously, the writing of this game is so outrageously good. I love you, Za/um.

But yeah, this is literally the greatest fighting game ever. Each character has their own distinct personality- and is also capable of beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of you. Infinitely high skill ceiling, limitless and terrifying offense, but still somehow balances that with a great defensive system. Tons of creativity in how you play this game. The only gripes one should have is that it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficult (with a lack of normal buffers and FRC timings typically being 1-2f), but to me that only makes the rewards that much sweeter.
If you're the kind of FG player that wants to feel yourself, you wanna play this one.

Fun ass game.
