This social game is fantastic, loads of fun. I just need to stop being an antisocial mess and meet people lol

I still very much recommend VRChat, but it's been a day after thinking about their decision for EAC off and on. They should've waited until the accessibility mods were in the base game, or figured out a way to whitelist said mods. I know they care about VRChat and its community, but this EAC update was waaaayyyy too fast for what it did to the community. I do not support any of the malicious behavior towards the devs, and I advise against it.

I find it funny that when tons of people are getting their accounts stolen from malicious clients' malware, and the VRC team decide to do something to protect the community, very few seem to read the changelogs. They read up to "EAC no modified clients" and lash out, reviewbomb, and a handful go even farther than that.

This is to protect users and mitigate their models and accounts being stolen, not to damage the community. They've stated they will work towards adding in the QoL and other features that the popular mod clients have.

As anticheat/piracy software usually has performance impacts, EAC definitely can as well. I haven't had any issues with Halo MCC, but that's not a very difficult game to run. Once I play VRC again for a bit, I will update this small review with performance impacts, if any.

Thank you VRC Team for thinking of your community's safety, as well as ensuring the additions of modified clients' features down the road. Please do not let the harsh initial reactions damage your motivation to push this social game to its limits.
