If you've played Himawari -- another VN written by G.O. and produced by Frontwing/Blank Note -- and think it is good, I'd recommend you to buy it.

One of the reasons is it is better executed. ISLAND shares similar structure with Himawari. However, ISLAND is continuous, it keeps capturing readers' attention to the plots and suspenses. Meanwhile, stories of Himawari are sometimes a little bit too fragmented and even discursive so that it goes off track and loses its focus sometimes. Though it might be just personal tastes, as some may argue, it's more likely you'll enjoy ISLAND as well, if you love G.O.'s style, and the stories in Himawari.

Another reason is that: set up in Urashima, a fictional island off mainland Japan in 1999, ISLAND shares the world of Himawari. G.O. wrote a spin-off novel named SILENT WORLD which bridges and integrates the two seemingly unrelated VNs. In SILENT WORLD, you'll get to know the true identity of Rin Carnation, the shadows of Alice Foundation and Saionji group, and most important, how is Kuon Ohara doing in 2016, after someone's death.

If you haven't played Himawari, there isn't much of a concern either. ISLAND is independent from Himawari, so players can enjoy it the same, regardless of whether they know something about Himawari.
