I can't recommend this game enough! I will say now: It is an Early Access game, so expect updates and such to change so many things. This review was made on the 0.1.4 patch.

Content:
Well, it's basically DbD with guns and powers. That's basically the content. There is a lore behind the game, but the lore doesn't really match up all the way with how the game is supposed to be played. Don't let that get to you though! Currently, we have 6 scavengers with their own perks and powers that can be leveled, 3 hunters with their own perks and powers, and a nice handful of maps! What I hope for is a new hunter to spice things up, but only time will tell.

Gameplay:
Well, again. DbD with guns and powers, but with a twist. DbD is heavily shelled for not being as fearful of the killer, to the point where a Killer is more of an annoyance rather than feared. This game changes that! Granted, the new Recycle mechanic makes it so that you're not a one out man, but the fear is still kind of there. As a Scavenger, you'll have to collect blood from these spires and deliver them to other spires while being hunted by the Hunter. Hunters have to eliminate all the Scavengers on the maps before they can either deliver all the blood or you run out of time. Yes, it's pretty generalized here, but when you're either in a heated chase with only 1 power bolt left on your vambrace, or you're chasing that dude with the speed bolts, it's pretty intense.

Community:
I won't lie... The community is kind of at eachother's throats. It's always a debate of either Scavengers should win more or Hunters should win more. Me personally, I just want a balance of both. They did some great updates for both sides, but sometimes it's completely unneeded for some of them, like the current nerf to Active Cloaking, which now makes it more of a questionable use rather than a possible use, or the previous shock buff, which basically made it 10x easier for Hunters to just keep their prey crisp. The community really didn't help with it, as their opinions have shaped the game the wrong way, which I will explain.

Devs:
The developers, despite what the community says, is honestly doing great. Well, great as in listening to the community. All updates have been at the bend of the community, which was good at first, but then just became a cluster♥♥♥♥. The devs know what they want for their game, but the community outcries don't help shape their plans. Currently, the Recycle mechanic was because Scavengers didn't like the idea of being, you know, stealthy, and the previous update (0.1.33) was done because Hunters didn't like the idea of being, you know, aggressive. The devs are truly doing all they can to make this work, and I am willing to give them more money if they had any other options besides the artbook and soundtrack.

Graphics:
I left this last for a reason. They're good. Enough said.

Recommend or no?
YES! I know the game's state is kinda freefloating right now, but trust me. I'd say wait till Early Access is over to get it so that the full experience is there, but it is a good game. It's just clouded by people who can't either sedate their power fantasies or people who don't want to play like a sneaky bunch, and a dev team trying to please both to the best of their ability. Please, wait till it's out of Early Access, maybe wait for a sale, but get it. It's a better DbD, and some can't deny that.
