Phenomenal and a familiar thrilling experience, reminiscent of the 80s/90s space horrors.

+
Combat is gruesome and satisfying
Melee gameplay is arguably the best in the genre, its very fun
Top tier Cast and VA
Lot of effort put in those lifelike animations, movement and combat
Quality Environment and sound design, a very industrial space setting
Decent storyline, much yet to be revealed and explored
No coop, live service, cashgrab multiplayer bs mode to waste the player's time and money

The best part, the game doesnt make your protagonist weak on purpose just to emulate fear, weakness or helplessness or forces you to run away from enemies rather than engage them, doesnt try hard to scare you with cheap gimmicks that could only scare little girls or made to get a reaction out of streamers for clicks, but sets a horror tone and nothing more. It Doesn't make you run around, backtrack looking for keys or do some puzzle just to increase gametime. it doesnt do any of these waste of time crap unlike some franchises lately *cough*RE*cough* sticking to vintage game design trying so hard to scare players when its not scary at all. The narrative is very straight fwd and focused, keeps you in the game fully invested throughout the story, while enjoying it thoroughly.

Performance is mostly fixed overall, though I didnt had any problems myself since day one other than microstutters for half a second when starting a cutscene or entering a new area etc, tested on 3 medium to low end PCs. Even that is fixed. So Im not sure if the outrage is real or manufactured.

You like Dead Space? R.I.P, youll love this!
As usual, an obligatory F* you to EA.
