TF2 advice that nobody wants to give but will literally make you better at this video game.
Not everyone is worth a Medic's time. Too many Medics trying to spread heals as equally possible. Stop it. Keep aware of every situation you're in, and prioritizing your healing accordingly. If you're on a rollout and you got a spawnwave, by all means, heal everyone. Nobody hates an overheal. But in the thick of combat, classes like Scout, Sniper or Engineer, usually aren't worth it, with a few exceptions. One such being the ability to latch onto Scouts for a hasty retreat. Medic's Mediguns were changed some years back to adopt an attribute originally exclusive to the Quick-Fix, the ability to move at the speed of your heal target. So, by healing a Scout, you get to move at Scout speed, meaning when ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan and you gotta ♥♥♥♥ off from an area, consider healing friendly Scouts then. Snipers will also appreciate the odd full buff as well, as it gives them leeway in a potential Sniper v. Sniper engagement. In big teamfights though, try to focus your heals on bulky power classes, the Demos, Soldiers, Heavies, in that order preferably but usually the reverse for some reason, and be hyper-observant of their status conditions. I don't just mean Afterburn, which you should still prioritize over injured players, but not before players fighting, with burning, fighting players, taking the highest priority I think, but any status debuff will have its duration sped up for as long as a Medic is healing that player. Jarate, Mad Milk, heck, even the laughably broken Bleed is vulnerable to this, meaning Medic can essentially debuff cleanse players. So let's recap what I believe the ideal heal order should be. And to explain things, when I say Cores, I mean Demoman, Heavy, Soldier, Other Medics, and Pyro, in that order. Omit Soldier in Highlander. Burning Fighting Cores, Fighting Cores, Burning Fighting Non-Cores, Fighting Non-Cores, Burning/Bleeding Players, Misc. Statused Players, Injured Cores, Injured Non-Cores.

Stop healing the same target as someone else. If multiple Medics are healing the same uber target, the uber build rate of EVERY connected Medic is cut by 1/x, with x being the number of Medics healing the same target. For example, if two Medics are healing the same target, both Medics' uber rates are cut by 1/2. If 3 are healing the same target, all three Medics will be building uber at just 33% the speed they normally would. A 66% loss in uber building speed across three Medics- you're building uber as fast as the Vaccinator does, minus the whole segmented uber thing, so you have literally nothing to show for it. Seriously. I'm so tired of seeing this. Just.. pick a different guy to pocket. Please.

The Tomislav vs. Stock argument is extremely flawed because it assumes a perfect head-to-head in the open gunfight where both players begin firing simultaneously, where any Heavy actually worth his salt is going to be pre-revved long before this engagement even occurs, and is going to be parked near the best available cover. Not to suggest the Tomislav is bad, it's extremely potent for both if you're caught off guard and for catching the enemy off guard, and the range benefits are truthfully useful in situations where effective cover is scarce and for getting some laughable chip damage, especially against Sentries, but it exacerbates Heavy's already crippling weakness to Scouts, and a Heavy who knows what he's doing generally isn't lacking for strong defensive positions. The Tomislav has its strong points, Stock has its strong points. I personally lean more towards Stock because it excels at what Heavy excels at- being the center of attention and killing everyone, but there are strong reasons to use Tomislav. My Minigun has a whopping 32,000 kills, whoopee, but my Tomislav has 16,000. Meaning I still use this thing about once for every two times I use Stock. It's still incredibly strong, and it lends itself extremely well to a lot of Heavy's strong suits. But I think Stock lends itself to his strong suits better.

Sandwiches are for everyone. See: Medic's Healing Priority, adjust Medic to be top priority, but remember, one for all. Not all for one.

As a Sniper, stop worrying so much about being super stupid accurate, and just take the ♥♥♥♥♥♥' shot. Too many Snipers lose too many fights too easily because they're wasting too much time and trying to line up the perfect headshot, all while they're fully charged and could just bodyshot the other guy. Not to mention the fact that even a 50 damage chip noscope is no meager amount of damage on its own. Remember, any damage, is better than no damage. And hesitating to take a shot, often results in no damage. Targets escape to cover, start chipping and flinching you, hell, enemy Sniper kills you. Stop focusing on the kill, and focus on the hit first. You gotta crawl, before you can run, and you gotta hit the broad side of a barn because you can expect to reliably hit heads.

The most efficient way to spycheck on Pyro isn't to flame everyone, but instead look down and airblast on anybody who looks particularly suspicious, especially if they're approaching a teammate from behind. A real Spy will be forcefully rebounded against the ground, sending them straight upwards and eliminating their immediate threat. Remember, if a Spy really wants to stab your Heavy, he's not going to care if he's on fire, he will forge on, and will stab your Heavy. Airblasting him upwards in such a manner makes him effectively harmless, and grants you more than enough time to dispatch with him.

Similarly, as a Medic trying to Spycheck someone, don't bother trying to wack them with your Ubersaw (Something you should never be doing as a Medic anyway is trying to melee fight a Spy in the first place) and instead shoot them with your Crusader's Crossbow. If it's a Spy, they won't heal, and instead will take damage (signified by the distinct sound of an arrow hitting a target) and if it's instead a teammate, you'll instantly heal them. Either way, it's a win/win to just use your crossbow instead. It even keeps you at a safe arms reach, ensuring the Spy would never pose a threat to begin with.

Thirdly, the MOST effective means of combating a Spy is plain old communication. It's been said before, and it'll need to be said countless times in the future- X+2 saves lives. In regards to the key combination of X, to bring up the appropriate voice menu, and the 2 key to use the "Spy!" callout, which will also call the class they are disguised as, provided you're aiming directly at the player.

Yeah when I was playing scout on defense I just checked the scoreboard idly and noticed the huge disparity between your score and the rest of your team's. cant imagine it was fun to deal w that

The sentiment of 'play casually, but don't let yourselves get stomped' was what kinda pissed off my own teammates, they disliked the fact that I was annoyed that literally as soon as I went Heavy, we went from being basically spawncamped to rolling ourselves and demonstrating that video juego no hard
