I was wrong the entire time!

Honestly I was one of those people that thought the hype for this game was unjustified. Well recently the game was on sale for £10 and I thought ♥♥♥♥ it why not see what the hype is actually about. Well I can safely say that 37 hours in I'm officially hooked. I can see exactly what people mean about this game.

The Story is gripping and the characters have so much depth you can drown in it. The side quests are actually engaging and complement the main story perfectly. Not actually finished the game yet but its safe to say I don't want the story to end at all.

Gameplay wise I personally found the control scheme quite fiddly to get used to and ended up ditching the controller for a KBM setup with custom binding. There is quite a learning curve with the way the game plays but once you get used to it, it becomes second nature.

Graphics are superb and I absolutely can not wait for the "Next Gen" remaster. This game will hopefully look amazing on the RTX 3080. There are HD texture packs available if you look in the right places. My GTX 1070 with Ryzen 7 plays this game at a solid 60FPS on High Preset.

I'm still yet to master the GWENT card game but hopefully one day I'll figure it out.

I now think this game 100% deserves the praise it gets. 10/10 would recommend!
