The game presented IN THE STARTING MAP is awesome! Lots of friendly people, lots of PVE content with people naturally forming groups and living their happy life and making tons of meaningful progress. I WOULD recommend this game.
I was in a spider cave and I got to save someone and their horse and we became friends! I loved the starting map so much!

However,
As you get to the main land, Nave, it's a completely different experience. A completely different game in my opinion.

In Nave, the full-loot, ALWAYS ON PVP means that, for a new player, there is tons of players griefing you, and there is no anti-griefing tools. So, your progress is likely to stall completely with no meaningful skill gains or "leveling up" untill *other players allow you to*. This feels really bad, as you often can't farm gold or experience to get your skill books, or use the abilities or playstyles you have learned or adopted.

Even if you move places, the same thing can happen there.

Questing:
There are Quest-giver NPCs but they all give "experience and gold", and really nothing else. I was expecting Hunting quest-givers to give you some hunting bonuses for this specific quest, or maybe it's telling me to go to this unique area where I can find this beast pawned in *just for me* to hunt, giving me SOME solitude in knowing that I am relatively safe from players, in this new, random location.

But no; There is nothing special about any quest in the game. It all tells you to go to the same place, over and over and over and all you get is experience and gold, if other players allow you to.

I tried Hunting and Soldier quests, and after doing Soldier quests I figured, why do Hunting quests at all when Soldier quests (=kill enemies) gives me more gold and experience per hour? So I never did any more Hunting quests even though I really wanted to hunt beasts.

So, after being chased away for the hundredth time now, I just don't feel like I can play the game without being allowed to, by other players, so I just can't recommend this game.

Sidenote:
Griefers don't see themselves as griefers in this game.
Imagine asking for anti-griefing help in Help chat, and the person griefing you sees it and responds.
As you can imagine, this is an extremely awkward experience.

I have about 90hrs in this game and I've finished all the ingame challenges.

This game is so good that if a followup was made I would pre-order it.

Just buy it. It's mega good.

Awesome game!! Didn't encounter any game-breaking glitches or bugs in 98hr gameplay. Only a couple of minor ones.

One of the best games on the planet. Download the Unofficial Patch 11.2 or newer to get the full experience <3!

Awesome tower defense+RPG that feels high quality. The pace picks up at about half way and is then much more fun.
There's also bosses. They are super fun also.
You should definitely consider this game.

Some minor bugs/annoyances:
When you talk to an NPC and you talk to eachother and you left-click to progress the coversation, u know, they grunt or hum or whatever. _EVERY SINGLE TIME_ you or they say something. So in a conversation you might hear a grunt like 15 times.
It gets annoying real fast.

Sometimes if you click through conversations too fast, no text is displayed.

If you quit the game, the difficulty resets from whatever you had chosen back to "Normal". So I lost the hardest achievement this way without even realizing.

Minor bugs like a lever being pressed down in puzzle softlocks so a gate dont open (once). But all you have to do is restart from checkpoint and it resets the puzzle.

Dying always felt earned and never "cheap" X)

Mostly a single-player open world online experience with tons of other ppl everywhere minding their own business.
You can group up and do stuff with others but its not necessary at all ever, except on world bosses and super hard optional endgame content.

The game has P2W elements such as pets that loot automatically, outfits that speed up "Life skills" considerably aswell as other functions such as inventory space and all that.

You will need to spend atleast $50 to get some auto-loot pets and some weight and inventory spaces else you will be severely crippled. And I do mean SEVERELY crippled. WIthout pets that auto-loot, inventory spaces that lets you loot more stuff and extra weight to carry the junk loot you will be spending a gigantic chunk of your grinding time doing NOT grinding.


Still tho, one of the best MMORPGs ever.
