It's another of those "Climb the things" games.

You can softlock yourself by hitting the rocks with arrows ...

A great little puzzle game that satisfies the same itch as bridge constructor.

10/10 would crash traffic into itself again and again.

This game has so much going for it, and at $6 bucks you cannot go wrong with this if you enjoy Roguelites with "Deck building" aspects.

The premise of the game is simple, but the mechanics are complex, interesting, and engaging.

Pros:
Solid music.
Tight, fluid, controls.
Bit of a metroidvania

Cons:
Short.
Combat seems like an afterthought.

Neutral:
Level design.

Overall this is a solid buy at its current price ($5.99 USD as of this writing). The moment to moment gameplay is great. The discovery aspect of the controls is a welcome throwback to the days before hand-holding tutorials became the norm.

If the platforming doesn't sell you on this game the polygons will.

Second edit:
Lost 3 hours of play because the game crashed while transitioning to a new zone.
Saves - gone
Quicksaves - gone
Do not buy this game in its current state.
This needed to bake for another year at least to hammer out bugs in later acts

Edit after many many more hours of play:
Everything past act 1 is a buggy mess riddled with crashes, graphic mishaps, interactions that just don't work, memory leaks, invisible points of no return, genuinely annoying story beats, and characters that make you want to go full "Murder Hobo".

If you haven't already bought this wait for it to go on sale, or for the problems with the actual game to be ironed out.

Pros:
The dragons wear hats. It looks exactly like you are picturing it in your head right now.
Lots and lots of options to play how you wanna play with the character you want to play with.
Exploration is rewarded and rewarding

Cons:
The voice options are all a bit samey; Definitely pay voice actors but with how easy it is for audio filters to modify voices it would be nice to see a little more variety and customization here.
No height or weight sliders

Supremely charming graphics, Great music, Interesting gameplay mechanics, and just the right touch of bullet hell make The Knight Witch a solid buy at any price point (including 50% more expensive).

Updated after 5 more hours of play. In those 5 hours I've had around 50 crashes due to unity failures.

Overall I would say this game is a don't buy right now. Wait a while for the bugs to be hammered out.

I told myself I would stop buying these Monster Hell games if they were still in early access.

Anyway, that didn't work.

This is a nice twist on the formula. If you've played Neon abyss is has a similar "build your own destruction" feel to it.

It's a nice little game and scratches the same itch as Tetris or Vamp. Survivors.
