Quite the Hidden Gem. It starts of very similar to AC4 Black Flag, but then you get thrown into New York with an AC: Brotherhood type territory system on land, and building renovations that generates passive income into a bank. The ship sailing is honestly even better than Black flag and the naval fleet combat map is way less of a chore. I'm genuinely surprised that this game is not more famous/popular. Most people I tell about it don't even know it. Yet it perfects many aspects from previous games, delivering a much more satisfying experience. It's also quite refreshing to play the game from the Templar's perspective as opposed to an Assassin. Definitely a must play release in the AC franchise.

Valheim on steroids. The base building system is the best I've ever seen in any open world/survival type game and the voxel based destructible environment is awesome. Has the same food system that gives you more hp by eating food. Also has a rested / comfort level feature that goes higher the more things you add to your base.

Magic chests are the best thing since sliced bread. They allow you to craft from any NPC or crafting table without having the materials in your inventory.

The double hot bar that you can swap between with Alt is super convenient and such a huge quality of life feature. Definitely one of my favourite features. Gear does not take up slots in your inventory/hotbar and stays equipped on death.

The game has several classes from ranged, to magic to melee with subclasses for each that you can reset at your bases' flame altar for 10 runes.

A promising early start for this game, excited to see its development progress.

No sound settings in options, difficulty joining private lobbies (just loads and then kicks you to the menu). Ran around for 10 minutes picking up gems and then ran through a portal. Fun.

Rather play Project Playtime instead.

A boatload of fun, whether you are playing alone or with friends. You can either invite your friends to a party and match make against other players, or create your own custom lobby for party nights! The multitude of different maps and objectives keeps the game from becoming too repetitive.

Currently, the only thing that bothers me is how the menu works. Left clicking on friends sends them a party invite or straight up joins a game, which is quite annoying. Logically it should be a double click to join servers and right click to invite friends.

Apart from that It's actually a half decent game now. Lots of the previous issues were fixed. Game runs smoothly and sounds great. Lots of fun to play with friends and will be even better once they introduce squad management next season.

Great ambience, the graphics is decent and the monsters are scary. Seems best to play with 4 people to cover the fairly large map faster. Apart from falling through a piece of mountain and subsequently going through the floor and dying, it does look like a game with a lot of potential.

My all-time favourite game on the citadel. Exceptional storytelling, love-able and hate-able character's, beautiful visuals and near infinite replayability. The soundtrack is on another level and ties in beautifully with the story. It wouldn't be the same without it.

Great game. Love the combat, play style and item mods system. The multiplayer is very well implemented and the loot sharing is done fabulously. I especially love the "auto loot" function that picks up loot across the entire zone when you press H, so your co-op buddies can open chests or mine minerals without you having to run there to pick it up.

So far I'm very invested in the lore, and backstory of the game and all its characters as well as the story campaign. An overall successful launch day in my books. A whole lot smoother than most other big name companies have had during their launches.

Addictive. The different crafting disciplines (fishing, cooking) is especially well done and a huge time sink. Overall a well thought out game.

-edit July 2019-
I've been glued to this game for the last few weeks now playing nothing else. It's great.

A fun game with a lot of potential. The developers, however, seem to be making a lot of misjudgments, mistakes and promises that they can't deliver on. The mega patch was promised roundabout begin March, but after several postponements, we only got it middle April. They will need to focus on this otherwise this game will be dead in no time.

Apart from that, the mega patch seems to have breathed new life into the game. Colony servers now favours singleplayer and small groups, while Empire servers favour huge alliances and companies with mega pvp battles. So far I've found renewed enjoyment in the game.

If they can minimise the embarrassing mistakes and not set deadlines they can't stick to, this game will have a great future, but currently they are on thin ice between a hit game and yet another early access failure. As I really enjoy this game, I'm hoping for the former rather than the latter.
