Can’t recommend this game right now. Consistently crashes with no saved progress on the Steam Deck despite being verified. It seems like it’s perfectly tuned for the Steam Deck, but I’ve now experienced several good runs with crashes and completely lost progress.

Highly recommended. This sequel improves on the original in just about every way. I'm struggling with a few of the new classes, but I appreciate the variety of game play.

Despite some bizarre video glitches, this game is more (much more) of the Serious Sam formula. If you enjoyed previous SS games, you'll enjoy this one. The battles are just as epic and frenetic as before, the humor and voice acting are good, and it lasted me about 14 hours to finish the story including most (somehow not all) side quests. My biggest complaint might be that I didn't use hardly any of the bonus utility items because I was saving them too much for the end, only to lose them because of the way the story played out. Maybe a few replays would encourage me to experiment more.

This game is an excellent blend of platformer and color-matching a la Ikaruga. With very slick controls and excellent gained-ability style progression, this makes for a short and mostly linear, but enjoyable experience. Some bonus pickups are scattered throughout levels offering some replayability and backtracking after the end-game.

If you were a big fan of Enter the Gungeon, I think you'll easily enjoy this game. If you mastered Enter the Gungeon, you'll easily finish this game as well within your first few tries, but it doesn't diminish the experience. You'll still have lots of runs to enjoy to unlock weapons, NPCs, and a few playable characters. Within 8 hours, I have finished the game with all 7 characters and defeated the newly added "final" boss, so don't expect endless gameplay, but I think it was worth the price of admission.

Frustratingly difficult, but so rewarding on each run that it urges me to play it again once I die. It's a vicious cycle and I love it.

This game will not run. I got this game as part of a bundle and was really looking forward to replaying it on the PC after having played it before on my PS3. Sadly, it won't run. It didn't matter how many different combinations of things I tried, it just would not run.
