Unironically the best modern action game of the last years ! Its a blast, I have a ton of fun playing this game, the replayvalue is good and the gameplay is simply amazing since the latest updates !

Dont come in here expecting an amazing story (even tho the story is pretty good !) focused game or Hollywood interactive movie walking sim ! This is Wanted: Dead boy, this is peak action game that reminds us of the glory years of the early 2000s japanese action games like Ninja Gaiden ! Its the best mix of melee and guns game I have played since Vanquish !

Give this game a chance, it deserves it, its time capsule from an ancient time when games were funs and tried unique things !

An Alone in the Dark game but your never "Alone" and never "in the Dark". Missed the mark on what made the original from 1992 an influence for the industry. I suppose it was more important to spend money on Hollywood actors over making an enjoyable game without tons of bugs, a bad gameplay and a story less interesting than a 25+ years old game.

As a fan of the original game, I was waiting this game with excitement but it all fall appart after my first run. Never played that game again, and after all these years of bad games, let this series rest in peace.

Just play the original game from 1992 if you like old school PC games and controls, play the 2 and 3 if you liked the first and play The New Nightmare for a more "modern" take on the series from the Dreamcast/PS2 era. the others are not worth your money and time.

This game feels like those great games from the 360 era with unique controls, a great campaign and tons of free AND included multiplayer content to play with friends ! An amazing game designed around a simple thing : FUN, something the AAA industry used to do ! Its a breath of fresh air with all the mediocrity in the AAA industry, its a must play of the year !

Grab your friends and go kill some Xenos for the God Emperor brothers ! Even if you dont have a friend the singleplayer campaign and pvp is good enought to justify the purchase !

An honest remake but it needs some tweaking gameplay wise its not very precise and that's a bit problematic on hard mode combats. Otherwise the game is good, the original is an intemporal masterpiece that can't be replaced but that version has good ideas. The atmosphere is very good, sound design is phenomenal. The level design is better than in the original. The story is remade well, James' VA killed it ! The other voice actors are good too, my only complain story-wise would be Maria's VA, but I dont think its because of her skills but more about the acting she was told to do.

In conclusion : Its a good remake, you can't replace the original with it but its a fresh new take on a 20 years old game with some unique qualities like the recent Resident Evil remakes and its thousand times better than the Alone in the Dark reboot released earlier this year for example. I would still recommand to play the original first for those discovering the franchise, and playing the remake afterward.

Je viens de le finir, première run en 8h je suis conquis, c'est peut être le meilleur metroidvania auquel j'ai joué.

Alors je suis un gros fan de la licence du coup je vais être très biaisé, mais franchement j'ai retrouvé tout ce que j'aimais dans la licence mais poussé à la perfection. Le gameplay simple mais ultra efficace avec plein de power up offrant une bonne variété. Ca répond au doigt et à l'oeil et les phases de plateformes une fois le double saut et le wall jump débloqués sont ultra agréable (même si évidemment y a des moments tendus). Une direction artistique, des pixel arts et des animations qui m'ont foutues sur les fesses encore plus grandiloquents et impressionnants qu'avant, le jeu est magnifique du début à la fin chaque zone est unique et avec son style, son ambiance. La musique pareil rien à dire, les boss très bons, un histoire et des personnages toujours aussi attachants et de très bonnes références aux anciens opus. Un level design bien foutu comme d'hab on se perd pas pour rien et y a plein de mystères, et en plus avec l'ajout des "?" pour indiquer la présence d'un secret pas encore trouvé, ça rend la recherche et le backtracking plus sympa.

Franchement pour moi qui suis fan de la licence c'est le 20/20 tout y est mais en encore plus beau, plus grand, plus travaillé, un bijou. Certains fans du genre metroidvania trouveront peut être ce jeu trop simple comparé à d'autres concurrents, je le comprends, mais Momodora c'est une licence qui a toujours été dans la simplicité (je parle pas de difficulté là attention ça se veut quand même avec un peu de challenge) et la sobriété, le but c'est pas d'être un Hollow Knight ou un Blasphemous. Justement, c'est pour ce côté sobre, simple et avec ce style unique que j'aime la licence et je suis comblé par cet ultime opus.

Pour ceux qui n'ont pas faits les anciens opus un PNJ au tout début du jeu vous donne des documents résumant l'histoire des anciens jeux et l'univers en général du coup ça reste une bonne porte d'entrée pour la licence.

8h de jeu, 110% de complétion, en une run d'une traite, une très bonne durée de vie comparé aux anciens opus et là c'est en une run, j'ai pas pu décrocher la manette le jeu est une drogue dure ! Merci à rdein et toute l'équipe derrière le projet, c'est déjà mon GOTY !

Best Final Fantasy game idk its the only one i played but the others dont have Jack Garland as a protag so its the best.

After 11 hours im still trash with the graplin hook, 10/10 !
