It's fun, bump combat is not yet dead. Graverobber is proving that they excel through restrictions and iteration so I do very much hope to see a Ringlorn Saga 2.

It's a quite neat scaled-back mecha crawler. I like the tense survival aspect as well as the interesting map obstacles such as jammers (needing to locate them by their buzz). The 100 points for saving system is a misstep but I was able to complete the game fully (both endings) with about 40 points left.

Signalis only takes 8-10 hours to play the first time through but decompressing after the massive brain expansion takes all weekend. Absolute must play for fans of the genre.

Absolutely adore this game. The simple and cute aesthetics lead to a melancholic setting to dig into. Tons of little flourishes that enhance the experience, such as dioramas popping up during important NPC dialogues, and the pause screen zooming out from the first person perspective to show your party relaxing, preparing to breach a door, or inspecting NPCs/items in your current square. The devs have found a winning formula to shake up the Dungeon Crawling experience, both with the challenging reactive combat and the static puzzle-like placement of enemy encounters. High amounts of experimentation in party comp is encouraged as catching up additional party members takes little to no time. Hope to see more from this setting and dev in the future.

One of new good faith efforts by Square Enix to showcase they still possess excellence in design skill. Dungeon Exploration brilliantly stripped down to the pure basics in the vein of unlimited saga. Bound to filter just as many people. The concept is ripe for iteration, I can only hope there is more to come.
