Early Access Review
Lethal Company formula in Unreal Engine. It's definitely not the work of some triple-A team, but all of it holds together well enough to work properly. I suppose one could argue that Sketchy's has more features built-in than Lethal Company, but it also comes with a proportional level of jank and roughness around the edges. It might be off-putting initially but if you stick with it, it can really suck you in once you're in the groove of things.

It's certainly fun to play with friends and shows great promise.

Early Access Review
Medieval Lethal Company.

Still extremely Early Access, needs a lot of work. You'll have seen everything in like 2 or 3 hours. Some bits of the game are obtuse and need fleshing out. Game loop is a little too linear.

However it's good enough that it can already produce memorable lethal-esque moments with your friends.

Recommendation for now, but check to see that the game has been updated recently. It's very promising but needs work.

Tactical Breach Wizards is a bit of a puzzle game disguised as a tactics game. There is no RNG in this game, both in combat and in level design. As such, the game is basically always "Solvable" There are never unpredictable factors, and the game lets you rewind every step. It literally wants you to win, but it also wants you to figure out how to win. There is some side content like challenge stages besides the main story, as well as a level editor, so if you enjoy it, there's plenty more to dig into.

I really loved the writing in this game too. I loved the dialogue and how the different personalities bounced off each other. They managed to put in some character development into the game itself, and the characters were consistently funny to me. I don't think the designer/studio is known for making sequels or add-ons, but I would love to keep following these characters through more content.

I had been looking forward to this game ever since the first piece of concept art was teased (not sure if they had even decided on it being a game at that point?) but wow, this game exceeded my expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

It's a fairly simple game of chance where usually have an opportunity to influence the odds.

Double or nothing mode is probably where you'll spend most of your time as it introduces more items and a streamlined experience.

It's fairly well made and a decent time waster for $3.

Excellent execution on the concept. It even natively lets you save your recordings to webm format lol

100% pure blast to play with friends. Even if you only get like four hours of gameplay from this, it's well worth the laughs and memories.

It's the real deal.

If you don't understand the hype, you probably won't. Plays better with some friends imo. The meme potential obviously drew attention, but there is a solid foundation within that keeps people playing. For all the obvious Early Access ticks (like some lacking UI features), it has everything else needed to make it an engaging game.

Time will tell if the game gets better from here, but it's an extremely solid start.

Fire Emblem but with a bit more tactical depth through customization of unit compositions.

There's a little more nuance than that but as a huge Fire Emblem fan, that's basically the description I'm gonna give. Probably the closest you'll get to Fire Emblem on PC.

It's very good.

I've reached a point where I feel like I've seen everything and I'm unsure if this game will receive any more content at this point, but what I got out of this game was well worth the price of entry.

TBH it's a pretty relaxing game even with the hazards and limits imposed upon you. You'll likely get to a point where the game will no longer surprise you, but it's still not bad. It just means you've become extremely familiar with the ship layouts, and now you can challenge yourself to be as quick and efficient as you can, sort of beat your own score kinda.

The story of the game is alright, take it or leave it, it's not really necessary. I empathize with the characters but it's not particularly compelling (except for the final mission). To be honest, the spooky "ghost ships" would have made a much more interesting story to explore imo. You'll know I mean when you come across them.

Anyways, highly recommended. One of my favorite games of 2022.
