Cocoon is one of those games that, makes a clear case for the potential for video games to be a form of high art.

The design of the worlds are all unique and clearly meticulously crafted. It is wildly unique how well the art tied in with all of the puzzles and how clear effort was taken to get the atmosphere of each segment and step of the game right.

The game gives you one action button and a d-pad. There is no text in this game, and it clearly doesn't need any. It is up to you, via trial and error and intuition, to figure the rest out. The game does a fantastic job teaching the player what to do and helps keep the player on the rails at nearly all times, by cutting off needless back-trackable area.

The puzzle designs seemed so unique and well thought out, by the end of the game, I could figure out what buttons to press, but I would have a hard time explaining to you how I knew.

If you enjoy puzzlers and you have 8 hours to kill, do yourself a favor and play this game.
