The campaign is merely so-so. There are many bugs. The zombies sound like birds, and the sound effects all seem to be coming from the wrong direction. But raid mode is one of the best short session games around, provided you can get the game to work.

You only get one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately, all of the NPCs are pompous and standoffish, and the protagonist is a complete pushover. I'm sure they all have character arcs, but they are collectively so unpleasant that I don't feel like sticking around to find out. And while I'm sure there are deep and meaningful reasons for all the characters being faceless (they literally have no facial details), it makes it a chore to find the one you're looking for in order to select or level up their buff.

The music is nice, and the combat is fine (although timing windows are, weirdly, upgradable, potentially rewarding skilled players with the ability to get away with sloppier play).

You'll probably get some enjoyment from this, but there are better alternatives, unless you specifically need a roguelite with a watered-down Persona-style social progression system.

Play Classic until you unlock Poker, then play Poker until an unreasonable hour. I'll see you on the leaderboards.

Coromon is far better than it has any right to be. It has all the quality of life features you could have hoped for, but which were not delivered in that other game because its developers were too stubborn.

It's a rhythm game where you strafe to your music. There are a few different modes, but they all involve colliding with coloured blocks to rack up combos. It provides some basic and fun gameplay while listening to your music.

The brakes may not work, but the writing does.

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking "Did he get this in a bundle, or did he buy it individually?" But being this is Peppa Pig, the most popular children's character in the world, you needn't ask the question.

This is not Ninja Gaiden. It's basically a series of combat arenas, in which you will face waves of enemies, many of whom have ranged attacks. In a typical battle, you will dodge around with the A button, do some crowd control with flail attacks, counter the stronger enemies with RB, and maybe perform some stronger combos on special enemies and bosses. When enemies are sufficiently weakened, you can execute them with LT, which grants health pickups, and, on certain special enemies, a weapon inspired by said enemy with limited durability. It will take you a while to figure out what the best combos are, and to build up muscle memory, during which process you are likely to die repeatedly, but after which you won't.

Combat is broken up by ninja platforming sequences, which require you to input specific commands in order to traverse a series of obstacles. I found these sections to be responsive and fun, I think in part because you can see the obstacles approaching as Yaiba runs, jumps, and grapples through the environment, so the whole process feels much more natural than in a conventional QTE sequence.

The game's short narrative can be hard to follow. The comic panel style cutscenes are very brief, and the action zips about between a lot of different location with barely a word of explanation. I think this is an attempt at replicating the kind of writing found in old comic books, which are a bit like that, but it can be somewhat disorienting.

This game can be brutally hard if you're not prepared to counter the enemies' attacks. Yes, the humour is puerile; that could be a plus or a minus depending on your preferences. Yes, the camera is deliberately programmed to zoom out when you are facing many enemies, which is fine and appropriate until you forget which speck you are, or until it decides to cut off enemies at the edge of the screen because they are so far away, but typically it is fine. Ultimately, what is here is mostly very good, provided you are among the game's intended constituency.
