It's an anime shooter, but not a good one. When they turn 2D they look goofy af lol

People complaining about a game they havent played or have NO INTENTION on playing just because a YouTuber said it's ♥♥♥♥ is the major problem in gaming these days. It is 2024. Who needs personal opinions when someone else can loudly have one for you right? Why bother forming your own opinion when you can just imagine the game sucks LOL

If you are thinking of jumping into the game now as a new player go ahead! The game is still active and updated. It's pretty good if you love the anime!

A more fleshed out version of Deceit, although a little complicated to learn. The first one is kind of dead anyway so this is the way to go! Better with friends!

Currently very rough but it is understandable since it is still in early access. I was confused at the start of the game because they just drop you without telling you what to do or where to go. No quest marker or any indicator. Also not a fan of the control, hoping to see more improvement being made!

I paused my playthrough to finish Metaphor ReFantazio (this ended up being one of my personal GOTY, showcasing how engaging storytelling and amazing mechanics can keep players invested) and Dragon Age: The Veilguard (even with its very horrible writing felt more engaging at times). Every time I returned to Hogwarts Legacy with an attempt to reignite my excitement, I always find myself putting it down again shortly after.

Growing up with the Harry Potter series, I was really excited when the game was announced, knowing I can finally explore Hogwarts, and exploring the magical world I’d dreamed about for so long felt like fulfilling a childhood fantasy. And in many ways, the game delivered on that promise: the world-building was beautiful, rich, and very detailed. Flying over the castle grounds, weaving between towers, and exploring hidden corridors was really satisfying.

However the longer I played, the magic started to fade. The main story was freaking flat. It’s missing the depth and intrigue that made the Harry Potter series interesting. The writing imo, is uninspired and not strong enough to keep me engaged.

The NPCs were another major letdown. While the environment around them felt alive, they felt dull and robotic without any real personality. They’re missing the quirks and charm that would make them memorable or make me care about their stories.

The fun of exploring couldn't make up for the terrible writing. It’s not a bad game by any means, it just didn’t capture the magic I hoped for. I knowI'm in the minority here. Here's to hoping for some improvement in the sequel!
