Capcom gave clamoring fans exactly what they wanted. Each part of the experience whether it is the story, gameplay, visuals, or audio have all come together making Resident Evil 2 a great.

A little bit about old classic:
Resident Evil 2 from 1998 is an amazing game and one of the best horror games of all time. With this, I think, hardly anyone will argue. Her ideas were sometimes far ahead of their time, hitting the ceiling of the technologies of the time: two playable characters, four interconnected story campaigns, several additional....

Changes:
Despite the sometimes photorealistic (RE Engine really suits the game) graphics, «over-the-shoulder view», and dozens of smaller changes, the remake doesn't forget about the lessons of the classic (1–3) series for a second. Resident Evil 7, for all its merits, only reminded of the golden days of the franchise, but RE2-2019 is a classic, just brought up to modern standards.

I want to run RE2 (2019) as both characters, just to… Well, to be with them again. Twenty one  f🇺ck🇮🇳g years later. A man who does not know the series and has not seen the original, will spit on the history;
don’t throw tomatoes at me for these words, but the plot, to put it mildly, has never been Resident Evil strong point – and the remake does not change the situation, even though he’s trying really hard.

Ammo is a luxury!
Whoever you choose, you have to do the same thing: survive and try to get out of Raccoon City as soon as possible. And this task, as in the original, is far from being the easiest. The whole city is teeming with zombies, there is never enough space in the inventory, there is never too much ammunition.

And it is in this area that RE2 (2019) pleases the most, because the remake perfectly understands the essence of the original source and presents where it can be improved without changing the original. Indeed, at its core, RE2 (2019), like RE2-1998, is a marathon test of stressful thinking and the player’s ability to make decisions under growing psychological pressure. It's not so much the zombies themselves that are frightening, but the possible consequences of meeting with them - the loss of exhaustible resources.

About the game:
Capcom is great at combining cosmetics with practical ones: zombies waddle, slowly, uncertainly, unpredictably swaying from side to side. They are just hard to hit, and sometimes shots cause them to deviate, so quickly putting a couple of bullets in the head will not work. What if there are more zombies? At least two or three? This is already a huge waste of resources.

RE2 (2019) never makes you feel safe; zombies turn from simple monsters into obstacles. You have to think not only about how to get to a particular location, but also about the way to get there. What to sacrifice and what to save.

This feeling of insecurity, as sticky as a wet T-shirt, increases exponentially when Mr. X, the «Tyrant», is added to the case. Especially when he's walking five paces behind you, that huge sense of tension haunts you. Thanks to modern technology, the big guy now chases you around and reacts quickly to the sound of gunfire, and lags behind the main character only in strictly specified plot moments. And that’s usually not for long.

Verdict:
Resident Evil 2 2019 is the rarest example of an almost impeccable rethinking of material that has already been worked out more than once. And the industry, which still cannot decide what the difference is between a remake, re-release and remastered, now there’s someone to learn from! This is how remakes should be done. Now Capcom simply has no excuse in case the hypothetical Resident Evil 9 fails.

Thanks for your time writing this review. I do get the feeling though that you're attempting to be too descriptive, sometimes even so descriptive that it makes no sense at all.
Anyway, 'preciate ya.
