Stardew Valley is a 8 bit style game, in which you inherit a farm from your grandfather. You can fully customize your character which then goes on to explore the small town named pelican town.
The gameplay is what you'd expect. You build your farm from the ground up while making friends with the locals. Getting to know people better may grant you access to a new recipe or other goods. You level up your items by bringing them and the necessary raw materials to the local blacksmith. These raw materials are obtained by clearing your property and by mining in the mine. The game also features a simple but good combat, which involves you fighting the various monsters lurking in the cave.

There are many small details which you have to take into account: like making sure that the seeds you plant have the most amount of time to grow (if they are ones that regrow). This adds a cool mechanic which makes you plan out to make sure you don't miss out on any profit which could have been had.

The game is really relaxing to play with the lovely tune following complimenting the visuals. For me personally it is a game i don't see myself pumping hundreds of hours into but you definitely can if your ambitious enough. For now it remains a game I will always come back to from time to time.
