Europa Universalis IV

The Sequel to the critcally acclaimed Europa Universalis III did not disappoint. With a variety of a new features mounted on a brand new Clausewitz 2.0 engine the game is much more smoother and less clunkier in most aspects, having streamlined alot of the chores into a simple click of a button. Detaching for a siege,Patrolling, rebel supression etc is just a click of a button away as compared to EU3 where you had to manually detach men for a siege for example.

As the name might suggest, the scale is colossal spanning 7 conintents and 5 oceans (barring Antartica) the world is your playground. There is no clearly defined objective or motive , it is all up to you ,the player. Playing as England you can try to beat france in the hundred years war and rewrite history. If your a fan of the Romans, you can try to restore the roman empire. Take the balkans back from the ottomans and push them out of asia minor, maybe expand into western europe and reconquer the city of Rome. You can even explore a randomized new world with the Conquest of Paradise Expansion. The possibilities are endless.

However,as with any games, there are definitely bugs and flaws. The Protectecrate System as of now is essentially useless, they do not fight in battles and only give you trade power. Your Protectecrates system to benefit more off you than you do off them. Colonial Nations are abit buggy as well, other colonial nations can declalre war on your colonial nation without even calling you to arms, so if for example a 20 province colony of portugal declares war on a 5 province colony of yours, you can not do anything except watch them eat your colony up unless miracously they win that war. There are still many more bugs which i have not pointed out. but you get the idea

That being said though Europa Universalis 4 is still definitely worth getting , it's replayability value is practically endless and if you have Crusader Kings 2 and the CK2 to EUIV converter , you can start a game in CK2 and Continue all the way to the end of EU4 and maybe even Victoria If there is a converter.
