Early Access Review
A wonderful arcade game! A mash up of several old-school ideas presented very well. The asteroids influence is very clear, but I'm also reminded of Bosconian and Time Pilot as well. I love the background music and personally use the Vector style graphics options. The controls take a little getting used to, but they really give the ship it's own feel to other twin stick shooters.

(I did fall asleep w the game on once, but I really have put double digit hours on this guy.)

I'm a little biased, I've played most MH titles since MH Freedom 1. I have many fond memories of long nights and sleepovers playing Monster Hunter with a full Party in my friends apartment for several years. While it's not on a handheld console, I can hope this can be that kind of game for people as MHF/FU was for me.

It's likely the most beginner friendly Monster Hunter title of them all. I have just started Rise, so I can't say for sure, but this is smoother and more accessible than previous "old world" games (which are all still amazing btw).

An action RPG with many MMO trappings, Monster Hunter World is gorgeous in aesthetci and graphical execution, and challenging in a good way.

Grab the base game on sale (around 25) if you're on the fence, SUPER worth it. Many years later, there is still a healthy online community, and it doesn't matter if you got a couple of friends to party up with. The Iceborne DLC practically doubles the amount of content in the game, but that is all endgame, once you beat all the base story missions.

The world is colorful and the levels are fun. I enjoy that you have infinite lives. There's an overworld with branching paths, and hidden gems through the levels that unlock them. The music is pretty enjoyable too, good tracker style tunes. It really has the feel and look of an old DOS or microcomputer game, but with the modern resolution and style.

A little bit like a Sonic clone, but much more reliant on the platforming rather than long stretches and momentum building. Maybe more like Sonic 1, if there's a comparison. Rolling and spin dash equivalent are on a separate button from jumping.

Good buy for 6$, if you like platformers, chiptunes, or early sonic, it's a must have when it's on sale for 2$!

Moves pretty slick. death comes fast, but so does respawning.

I wish the jump jets lasted a little longer. Good arena fps, no wait, weapons feel good. monetization isn't in your face (yet) and only for cosmetics. Reminds me of Quake Arena and UT99, so they're doing something right.

Portals are a fun implementation, wish there were more spots to use them on some maps.

Action packed and spooky! It's held up over the years, I think and is super worthwhile. It's got a good story, while it could have been delivered a litter better, both in mechanic (phone messages) and in pacing, It all comes together in the end.

Gun play looks, feels, and sounds viceral.

I would have loved more encounters throughout the sometimes long winded walking sections or more varied enviornments for encounters.

It has what can count for jump scares, but a lot is good and unnerving, and just letting the soundscape do its job.

It's worth every penny if you enjoy management sims or tower defense games. It's free on Itch.io, but has extra goodies like multiplayer (lan and dedicated) and more on steam.

It's got around 10 replayable levels with an interesting tech tree/ campaign progression. Very free form building style, though I can see the gameplay loop maybe becoming repetitive for some. I don't see myself becoming that person for a long time, especially with a level editor and playing online with friends and strangers.

Controls are comfortable and recognizable, easy enough to pick up. Gamepad controls are finicky to me on this game, keyboard/mouse does the trick.

It still takes a sec to differentiate between different buildings graphics when things get all clustered togehter, but I'm still fairly new to the game I suppose.

It's very satisfying and kinda relaxing despite baddies trying to wreck your front lines every other minute.

Thumbs up! Get it on Itch or Android, and whether you liked it or not it's still worth 6$ easy.

What a fun city builder! can be made relaxing or intense, and watching the settlement stabilize and little dudes walk around is very satisfying. I personally love the low poly untextured aesthetic. Building is simple enough but has depth in how systems connect. I'm writing this before trying the newest major update (or two). I still keep coming back and enjoying my time weeks and months after my last session, it's easy to pick up after a hiatus.

Cute and surprisingly challenging. Feels very fluid and good w a gamepad. I play a couple rounds every now and then, and am chipping away at the levels, I'm about half through the game. Experts may have an easier time. A lot of the hours put in have been me nodding off with the menu up, but I've still put in several hours easy.

slow reloads and sporadic accuracy make the game tense to me. It's a cool period that seems underrepresented in genres other than strategy wargame. I don't really use a mic and haven't joined a regiment, but there's a lot of shoot the breeze chatting if you want. It's free, try it.

Easy to learn, hard to master, and a blast the whole way up.

Soccer+hockey+arcade cars+jetpacks

It's fun and frustrating at all levels of play.

The chat is hit or miss, but playing online, which is most of the game, is still a pleasant enough experience.
