Awesome ... I loved DOOM 3 and have been playing since it first came out. Always though it was one of the creepiest games ever with the flash light vs the darkness thing they had going on. DOOM 3 set the standards back then. This DOOM 4 does not rely on the darkness of the envioroment to give it that creepy feeling. It is a very intence shooter. It actually helps to have played the earlier DOOM games because the story is weak in the begining, but if you had played DOOM 3 you would recognise everything and feel like it was DOOM 3 remastered, but with out the need for a flashlight. Super giant download almost 54 gig. Not an easy game. Not a game for average PCs. This is the type of game that (A) might make you go update your system. (B) Stay up late at night trying to make that checkpoint, because for a good gamer it might take 30 minutes, but for the average player it could take all night. (C) Prespire, that's right, it will make you sweat. (D) Cuss often, because there is no quick save and there are a couple missions that will seriously kick your ass, so you WILL be running through the start of them again and again. EVEN ON THE EASY SETTING THIS MAKES COD AND BATTLEFIELD LOOK LIKE CHILDSPLAY. Not impressed with the multiplayer, Campaign is a worthy sugsessor to DOOM 3, witch I thought could not be done, because it was gaming greatness. No wonder it took so long, It was worth the wait.

Game play is just OK, Story is good, kind of slow paced can be down right boring, not hard like Doom 4, just tedious sneaking around looking for ammo.Very re-playable because of the side missions. Try to catch it on sale, not worth more than $20. I have played it for hundreds of hours that is true, but most of that is after the campaign I start it up and play it for a quick gameing fix and enjoy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuff up. Also I would like to point out that in my case I took a lot of time during the campign building up a stock pile of weapons and ammo which required me at stages of the game to basicly kill every last armed character and run to either the gun shop or my apartment and pile it up, so I end up with an empty world and take as much as I can to next mission. I do hate the extremly limited amout of ammo provided in the game. I understand that the developers may have done this for a reason, but it does take away from the fun factor in the game. To many games these days forget that along with everything else a game should be fun. $20 bucks is all its worth. I wish Steam had something inbetween thumbs up or thumbs down because this is one of the rare occasitions that it is hard for me to pick one or the other. So ... I'll go thumbs up but at $20 bucks, it ain't worth more than that .

This is one of the most re-playable shooters ever. I have so many shooters can't even count them all, in 30 years of gaming, but this first person shooter really delivers. The story is a little better in the other FEAR games, but the actual game play on this one is timeless. It is a fairly simple straight forward shooter. But that is what a good shooter should be about ... shooting and not getting shot.

This is one of the most fun games ever. Its just plain stupid fun. It may not have the multiplayer option like GTA but GTA was never this much fun. It was maybe the best $19 bucks I ever spent on a game. And you don't spend all your time trying to earn money. You just get to do outlandish stuff and have fun. GTA could be compared to a job, trying to get money and buying stuff, Saints Row could be compared to a party ... just show up and throw down. And there is no hang over. It's like the Three Stooge playing GTA on acid. And it's always a good trip.
