I came back a added to this review in 2020 / and 2022 ...
The game is almost un-playable online because of the number of Modder's. it's bad ... REAL BAD, and anybody thinking of buying it needs to know this up front.

The Single Player still rates as one of the greats

I still log many hours a week playing it, but that is mostly done in Invite only, or SOLO Public Lobbies I create and then invite known Players / or visa versa they invite me. I use the Community created software available to create "whitelisted" Lobbies to play in, so I won't be interrupted by random Player's dropping in.
To examples would be ...
"Guardian" or "CodeSwine"
The game remains a great Sandbox to Game in, but it's the Player's responsibility as to who they end up in that sandbox with. It's because of that extra effort this Game requires within the Social networks, and the social skills and commitment of time it takes to make it enjoyable / usable, that makes it impossible for me to recommend to others.


I almost NEVER play Free Roam with strangers anymore .... NEVER
