My initial experience when playing Webfishing was great! I've met and befriended a bunch of cool and chill people who likes fishing too xD
It is very easy to.. get hooked .. ;)

I like how this game offers different play modes i.e. totally solo play for those who prefer solitude, or code/friends-only or public server :)

Each individual can opt to join a room or be a host themselves
I like to be the host most of the time because if the host leaves, the members will get kicked out too
P.S: I think it is also region based, so people who joined your room (via public server) should be of similar region i.e. ASEAN server or EU server etc

Initially I was skeptical about completing this game because it is so heavily RNG-based! But I managed to.. pull it off .. :P
10/10 I will replay it on my lil alt account too because ynot~

We use WASD to move around, Shift to sprint and to equip/ use an item we can press Tab to go to the inventory and assign them to the hotbar key from 1 to 5
There are few other icons when you press Tab. You will be able to see:

• your journal completion by clicking on the fish icon,
  
• send or receive letter to/from others (you can add gifts while crafting a letter)
  
• and the social button whereby you can also view a person's Steam profile~

Cast your fishing line in any bodies of water and simply press and hold the LMB when a fish bites and spam clicks if you need to break the "gates" (You'll need to ensure you have baits else you will not be able to fish anything!) (press B to access the tacklebox to switch your baits and lures!)

You can refill your bait by visiting a soil-like shop where you can sell your fishes and buy baits!


There are two types of bodies of water in game. Freshwater and Saltwater. Some fishes will only appear in Freshwater, and some will only appear in the Saltwater

Saltwater are the ones in the ocean (near the beach area) and in the private island. To access the private island, we have to buy the prop and place down the flag by pressing V and clicking on it
Enter the flag and you will be in an island!

Freshwater are everywhere inland and here's a fun fact! We can buy the prop of a Well and even a toilet bowl, lol! (In a yellow hut near the beach)
Both of these items are considered as Freshwater and they are useful when the rain occurs in an area without water and thats when we can utilize our Well to fish for exclusive fishes that only appear in the rain!

• We can go on a treasure hunting by buying a metal detector in the hub; equip it and roam around the map :D if there's a strong beeping sound, you are near the treasure hunt spot!
  A pile of dirt will appear for you to dig it out (press E) and you can either get trash items or fragments which they can be used to exchange for cosmetic items!
  
  
• You can buy chalks from the hub too and just start drawing or doodling on the ground, let your creative arts flow! Or you can even buy a guitar and play some songs~
  Some players uses a MIDI player, however I am not sure how that works, hehe, nonetheless there are helpful guides on Steam
  
  
• You can buy scratch tickets in hopes to win big! So far I haven't had much luck 😭😭 haha XD

• Buy and drink colas at the vending machines, they can boost our catch rate and speed! (depending on which type of cola you buy, 1 gives +exp, 1 gives +money~)
  
  
• Buy the fishing buddies (buckets) at the hub, they help to catch fishes. To know when its ready, a fish icon will appear at the top of the bucket and you can press E to interact with it
  Remember not to place the buckets too closely together or you'll get the message "This fishing buddy is empty" despite it having the fish icon!
  
  
• Keep fishing and selling your fishes so you will be able to upgrade to better baits and lure! To get better baits and lures, you must upgrade the camp tier in the hub
  There will be a higher %roll depending on the lures you've used.

  Baits on the other hand, affects the rarity of the fish i.e. No star, 1 star or 2 star.. 3 Star etc
  
  Additional Info:
  The fishes, have tier 1, tier 2, tier 3 assigned to them. Tier 3 fishes can only be caught by using crickets and above, you CANNOT use worms to fish Tier 3 fishes
  If you are going for full journal completion, you can refer to this table: https://webfishing.wiki.gg/wiki/Bait to see the highest % chance to get a particular quality of a fish.
  For instance: If you are going for full Normal types, then it is recommended to use Crickets; If you are going for Shining tier to use Minnows, Squid for Glistening, and Nautilus for 3 stars and above~

• The Meteor and the rain are events that occurs randomly in-game~ We can get an alien object fish by fishing up the meteor!
  (Do note that only 1 player will be able to fish the meteor so do your best to be the first one to get it! (or you can simply create solo room if you dont want any competition :P)
  
  
• There are 4 types of fishes that can only be caught in the rain ; The body of the water i.e. Salt or Freshwater does not matter. You can know which part of the map it is raining
  by looking up in the map and spot some dark rainclouds
  You will have to be fishing under the raincloud in order to roll the chance of rain fishes~
  
  
• There's also a fish which can only be caught in the void :O Fret not, it is pretty simple to access the void!
