Beating the game took me 33 continues. 33 coins in arcade cabinet. Depending on place it is 0,25 or 0,5 euro (Poland). 8,25 or 16,50 euro for beating the game once. Considering how many times I played Metal Slug back in a day I spent enough money to buy a console + metal slugs.

10/10 would spend money again.
