By socialism, I mean the system that precedes communism, what the USSR had, abolition of private property. For social democracy, welfare state, benefits, public healthcare, I use the term social democracy.

We need to create a proletarian state that will take control of private property and replace the free market with a planned economy. The anarchy of the market does not serve the needs of the people. On the contrary, planning according to people's needs does.

I support communism because it is the moral economic position. I support communism because it cares for the many, it cares for the less fortunate. I support communism because there is strength in numbers and it pays for people to be happy too.

Now if you define communism as a ruthless dictatorship that kills, as many like to point fingers at the USSR, please be aware that 1. even though the USSR was a bit too authoritarian in some matters, mainly economic freedom, it had incorporated democracy to every crack and crevice of their citizens' life and 2. it did not cause millions of deaths; that's propaganda.

That is to show that what the USSR did, seizing the means of production at the state level, worked pretty damn well, also considering that during those times the standard of living was increased dramatically, calorie consumption was double that of capitalist countries and famines were eradicated. Yes, communism worked for millions of people. In the end, though, the question is this: why should we base our society on the worse side of humanity, the side of competition, and not on the better one, the side of cooperation?

And since we are here, we might as well look into abolishing the concept of work, create a society with egalitarian values, a society where the work and its result is shared equally among everyone, all the while no one is forced to work, directly or indirectly. Hell, we have so much automation that we are running out of jobs. We can't let the big guys up there steal the result of the work of the robots anymore. That belongs to everyone.

Speaking of ideologies I believe in, I am an unschooler. I reject forced education and recognize free learning as the only effective learning method. Free learning is learning initiated from the person. There is no curriculum and you can pursue whatever subject you want. School, on the other hand, equals with forced education. Everyone hates school, because school is like prison, because humans crave freedom and in school they are not free. Additionally, school has been shown to be ineffective at teaching kids, while unschooling works just as well as, if not better than, forced education.

The first step to making the change to a life with less stress for our kids and everyone in general is to realize that school is essentially torture, that it is ineffective and that it needs to go. Then, the next and final step is to implement communism in our societies, ensure everyone can satisfy their basic human needs without the need for compensation and work together to build that bright future we so desire.
